Designed for the pleasure of living as close as possible to nature, with a panoramic view, the Font de Gaume gite is located in a renovated traditional Périgord complex overlooking the Beune valley.

The living room and the beautiful terrace are facing south and enjoy an exceptional view over the valley.

In peak season, we welcome you from Saturday to Saturday, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

At Domaine de la Licorne, holidays are synonymous with simplicity and friendliness!

We have converted a barn with two table tennis tables, a table football and bicycles at your disposal: it's the favourite meeting point for children...

The Lascaux cave, nicknamed the Sistine Chapel of cave art, Les Eyzies, the capital of prehistory, Sarlat, the most famous of medieval towns, the Padirac chasm, the incredible castles of the Dordogne valley, the wild Vézère valley... We will advise you on tourist and gourmet visits as well as on your hikes in the many nearby sites.

Domaine de la Licorne is the ideal place to take a family break, in peace, and recharge near the village of La Chapelle Aubareil and the town of Montignac/Lascaux.

For even more comfort, the bedroom area is now equipped with air conditioning!

Nous avons beaucoup visité car tout est à côté ! La propriété est très sympa même si nous avons privilégié les visites touristiques. Parfait avec un enfant de 4 ans. Escaliers accessibles, deux wc, petit problème de tv mais ce n'est pas grave !! Les chambres sont spacieuses, le salon est très agréable avec une vue imprenable ! Nous reviendrons en été pour profiter de tous les accessoires du domaine !!!

Semaine de découverte en famille

Maison parfaite pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants avec équipements vraiment complets tant dans la maison que dans la propriété ( salle de jeux et piscine) idéalement située dans la verdure mais près de Lascaux et Sarlat.

Location très bien placer pour visiter Lascaux le parc des dinosaures les grottes de Lacave et bien d autres châteaux parc d activité pour des enfants . Très bon accueil des propriétaires du gîte à recommander grande tranquillité et superbes paysages

+sehr ruhig gelegen (Ruhe allerdings abhängig von andern Mietern) +Haus gut eingerichtet +schöner Pool +Waschmaschine in Nebengebäude +/- gute saubere Klimaanlage; funktioniert aber nur unten, d.h. Schlafzimmer oben heizen sich je nach Außentemperatur extrem auf -Haus an sich sauber, aber stellenweise könnte etwas genauer grundgereinigt werden -Check-in / Betreuung unpersönlich -Hunde zwar erlaubt, aber dennoch scheinbar nicht so gerne gesehen trotz vorheriger Abklärung

Gîte au cadre magnifique et apaisant

Nous avons passé deux jours fort reposants dans un gîte très bien équipé avec un cadre et une vue exceptionnelle. L'accueil a également été très chaleureux! Nous recommandons sans détour ce gîte pour les personnes de passage dans cette région pleine de richesses.

Das Anwesen ist wunderschön gelegen und hat einen tollen Ausblick. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich. Insgesamt ein tolles Urlaubsdomizil und sehr zu empfehlen, insbesondere auch für Familien mit Kindern und Hund.

A retenir... à "revenir"

Nous reviendrons très certainement (tout est dit non?). Endroit charmant, rien que la vue au lever le matin sur la terrasse vaut le détour. Les propriétaires sont charmants, disponibles tout en étant discrets. On a très vite l'impression d'être "à la maison". Le gîte en lui-même est très bien rénové, très pratique (sauf peut-être la salle de bain un peu exiguë pour changer un bébé - gîte Fond de Gaume). Nous reviendrons très certainement en famille en été !

Wonderful stay!

We were greated by the owner's handsome son. He got us situated and explained everything to us. We had a great stay and were treated very well. We loved the wire sculptures! The only thing that I would suggest is to bring cash for payment. We were not aware of this when we checked in. Sincerely, Ginger Hahn

Vraiment tres agreable

Le gite est charmant et très propre. Le site est magnifique avec une vue imprenable. La piscine est idéale pour les enfants (taille aménagement et ensoleillement) Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et vraiment très arrangeant. La region est riche, bref c'est sans aucun doute un endroit qui vous qu'on s'y arrete.

Fabuleux

Cette location nous a comblé. La vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique et nous aurions été capables de rester sur cette terrasse pendant toutes les vacances! cependant, la piscine est très appréciable également, elle est exposée au soleil pendant toute la journée et ses dimensions sont idéales aussi bien pour jouer que pour nager. Le gite en lui même est agréable à vivre, propre, fonctionnel et bien équipé. Nous avons été séduits et reviendrons très certainement à la Chapelle Aubareil.

Endroit calme dans un bel environnement.

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable au gîte du 2 au 9 juillet 2016. Le gîte offre tous les éléments pour passer un séjour agréable. La cuisine est complète. Le gîtel est situé à distances raisonnables de plusieurs des principales attractions de la région. La vue de la terrasse est formidable. La piscine a été un gros plus. Il y a une salle de jeux pour les enfants (table de ping-pong, vélo, baby foot, trampoline). La description du gîte ne montre pas de photos de cette salle, mais elle a été bien appréciée par mes enfants lors de notre visite. Notre hôte nous a très bien accueilli et un petit paquet de produits régionaux a été offert notre arrivée (un délice!!!!). Je recommende cet endroit.
