Relaxing, comfortable short break

Three-night stay. Wish it were longer. Quiet and relaxing. Friendly but unobtrusive from owner June. She even offered us 25% off vouchers for local events.

Comfortable, clean, spacious, warm and welcoming

We were visiting family members and had previously stayed in travel lodge in Durham, which we felt was cold,noisy and overpriced. Hamsteels was very comfortable and beautifully clean, quiet, 15 minutes out of Durham but easy to find. The price was very reasonable and we were upgraded to a bigger cottage which was available.

We stayed for two nights, Friday and Saturday. We were going to the Rugby Magic Weekend and needed somewhere close to family and easy access for travelling to Newcastle. Hamsteels ticked both boxes.
