About this property
3 bed home
This three bedroom terraced home was built in 1880 and is full of character, nestled into a nook with barely a straight wall. The thick ancient walls guarantee warmth and privacy, combined with a Kingsize Tempur mattress in the master bedroom, a fantastic deep firm double in the bright second bedroom and a 6 foot bunk bed downstairs a good night's sleep is guaranteed. Best of all this property has a separate snug living room, bright dining room and eat in kitchen as well as a sun trap garden. And all this 5-10 minutes walk from all of Folkestone's many beaches, parks, shops, bars and restaurants.

About the host
Hosted by Joanna Phaure

A full time host with a few unique, quirky and always old properties in the very heart of historic Folkestone. I have been hosting for nearly four years, full time for just over a year. My places are not hotels, they are homes, that I care about and I enjoy making sure I meet the needs of my guests whatever they might be. I try to make sure they have everything you could need for your trip but I always welcome feedback to improve. I moved to Folkestone in 2015 and absolutely love the town so am always happy to share suggestions from Vineyards to Dog parks.
Why they chose this property
To have a lovely large sunny garden 10 minutes walk from the scenic beaches, harbour and old town is a real bonus for families and this property is geared up to host. A separate cosy living room with smart TV, books and games as well as a fantastic open plan kitchen dining space with comfy chairs, places to eat and even a sofa bed for extra guests means plenty of flexible spaces to eat, drink and enjoy as a group. Bedrooms are kept quite minimal to ensure a tranquil space to retreat to at the end of the day and plenty of space for your things. All rooms have somewhere to hang up or store clothes. The property was built in 1880 and has extremely thick walls, you won't hear the neighbours, you won't hear the street and even better they won't hear you either! So you can enjoy being close to everything without fear of upsetting our neighbours.
What makes this property unique
Perfect location for exploring Folkestone's many charms. Ancient thick walls mean you will sleep soundly and not disturb anyone no matter how noisy your crowd might be. A garden with BBQ seating and loungers and the option to hire a hot tub for your stay (from £250 per weekend from a local reliable company) or even bring your own paddling pool. Furnished with everything you'll need to whip up a decent meal (well kitchen basics, recipe books and plenty of crockery etc) you'll need to bring your own skills. Likewise there's board games, books and plenty of thoughtful touches to ensure your stay is comfortable.
