Wonderful home in a wonderful location. Perfect for a family gathering. The house is beautiful and spacious and the beach and yard are marvelous. The grandkids loved swimming in the unbelievably clear water. The host is welcoming and responsive. I highly recommend this place for creating cherished memories.
Spacious & comfortable for 4 adults & 4 teens. We had an amazing week on the lake, watching sunsets & paddleboarding out to the blue line. Robin was available when we needed her and incredibly friendly. This location is a gem! Looking forward to returning next year!

Jen and her family were absolutely wonderful guests and I’m glad you all had a great time. I look forward to welcoming you back year after year! See you next summer!
Everything provided and a whole lot more. Owners kind helpful and generous
Great sandy beach and grassed area and big patio for us and the 4 and 8 year old grand kids
Every room had huge storage and bathroom
Really had a great time
The house is fabulous! We had everything we needed and if we did not the owners promptly provided it. The sand beach, the lake, the view did not disappoint. This was the perfect place for a family vacation. We are already planning a return trip.
We had a wonderful time the home was beautiful, so was the weather. I would highly recommend this home.
Robin and Greg were great. Any questions we had were responded to almost immediately.

Linda , her family and friends were wonderful guests, in fact the neighbor asked if they could be there all the season! They were so respectful of the home and left it spotless! We certainly would
Welcome them back anytime!
We have been coming to Northern Michigan for family vacations for 15 years, and this is one of the best places we have stayed in. This house is huge and very comfortable, with lots of room for extended family to spread out. It also has a nice layout for anyone with mobility issues, as there is a bedroom and full bath with walk-in shower on the main floor with easy access to the back deck and lake. The outdoor space is wonderful. Kids spent hours and hours jumping off the dock and swimming in Crystal Lake. We made good use of the lily pad, canoe, and 2 SUPs. The tennis court was a nice bonus for some casual pickleball. The hosts met us at the house when we arrived, and communication was always fast and easy.

Spectacular!
The property is amazing - the pictures do NOT do it justice. The owners are available, and give you an overview of the property for your enjoyment, but from there - they let you have your privacy. Having heated floors in the Winter after skiing was AMAZING!!! The place is well stocked with needed essentials. This place looks to be an amazing find in the Summer as well - the lake is gorgeous and they have all the amenities to make it a fantastic stay Winter or Summer!
Thank you to Robin and Greg!

Shawn,
I’m so glad you loved the home and found that it was well stocked and had everything you hoped for! We look forward to your return.

This property is exactly as advertised and more. The house is wonderful for a large family or group. It is well stocked and roomy. The beach and yard are great for kids, and we loved using the tennis court as a modified pickle ball court and playground. The lake is crystal clear. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the dock and campfires on the beach. The hosts are very responsive and do check ins to make usre that everything is okay. I . You can't find a better lake property. I highly recommend it.

The location was unbeatable - 3-4min drive to Beulah and 16min to Frankfort, and right on the lake. If you want to spend your time outside on your own private lakeside retreat - this is the place for you.
The home is laid out well and offers plenty of space. We'll note that there are some things that could be improved, such as:
- we're fine booking a week stay, but over a week's time on a beach, things get sandy / dirty quickly and I'd expect there to be ample cleaning supplies and things like a nice vacuum cleaner that are supplied to us. We found it to be inadequate in this area, so inquire ahead of time or bring your own.
- The grill is just an old charcoal grill that was full of spent coals and very dirty when we arrived. Perhaps the grill can be updated? At minimum - it should be clean for a new arrival.
- As is the case in many vrbo's, the kitchen is a hodgepodge of silverware, cooking utensils pots/pans, etc. If you expect a "chef's kitchen" - this is not it. Bring some of your own kitchen if you want to cook something relatively nice/hard.
Robin & Greg communicate very well and were readily available, which was wonderful.
Overall - this is a great place to stay. May be a bit pricey, but we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Andrew, we loved hosting you and your family and would welcome you back anytime. Thank you for the feedback.
Many of our guests have found that the cleaning supplies stocked in the home and the vacuum cleaner are sufficient for the duration of their stay, as we do have a professional cleaning company come clean in between all guests. We do apologize if there was something additional you were looking for and did not find it.
We are so happy you enjoyed the location! Beulah has so much to offer and it sounds like your family had a great vacation on Crystal Lake. We look forward to hosting you again in the future.
The beach was wonderful - a big, long dock for watching sunsets, paddle boards, a canoe, lots of outdoor seating , a tree for shade on the beach, plus a six top dining table with an umbrella.
We had a great week on Crystal Lake. The property was perfect and the amenities met all of our needs. The owners were very responsive and helpful.
We only had minor issues with the smoke alarm going off easily when using the oven, but we developed a routine to clear the air while opening the oven.
Thank you for renting your house to us.

Jeremy’s family and guests were great to host! We’re so glad you had a wonderful time at our lake house and would welcome you back anytime.!
Please be aware that the house is actively for sale, I only found out by googling the address after reserving the property. I was assured there would be no issues during our stay but there was a couple that came by to look at the home. The Owner/Rental Manager was very nice at first, even though at 4pm check in the house was not ready and the cleaning lady was still present. Also, false advertising about disinfecting, the company does not exist. The Owner is very agreeable to all requests until after you check in. Example, I informed her my inlaws live on the same lake and would be stopping by - in her words "no problem, guests are allowed". (this is even in her rules) However, I received a phone call the next day claiming I had too many people at the house. My extra guests consisted of my two sister-in laws and their families (both have 4 kids, they stayed a total of 5 hours) She told me the neighbor had pictures. A bigger issue is a neighbor and the owner (lives in the house above the hill) taking pics of us on the property, totally illegal. Be aware that the neighbor does not want the house rented, confirmed by the owner and the neighbor. She complained because we played a provided radio on a Monday afternoon. We apologized and turned off the music as to not have a problem the rest of the week. This made for a stressful week of hushing the kids and not being able to truly enjoy the beach.
When I started to ask questions about the property this is when the owner became confrontational. I asked about extra garbage that did not fit into the trash container, to which she replied "your family take it with them. I figured out that you can purchase yellow bags to put the extra garbage in. A family of 10 staying for 1 week, eating breakfast, lunch and dinner could easily produce more garbage than can fit in one container. My biggest complaint is the LACK OF HOT WATER!!! Yes, this 4.5 bathroom house can not accommodate more than 2 showers without running out of hot water! When I asked if there was a trick or an issue with the water heater or something that can be done her reply was "why don't you just space out the use of the hot water", this includes no washing dishes or laundry and still cold showers. After checking out I was contacted about fraudulent charges for $500 with no evidence. VRBO investigated her claims and found them to be false. We were not 20 year olds partying but a family trying to have a nice vacation.

Let me respond to these statements which are untrue. While the home is for sale, we do not permit showings while renters are present. The only showings ever allowed are during the cleaning period while renters are not there. The home was absolutely ready for these renters, and in fact the renter mentioned she was so impressed with how clean the home was, she wanted to hire the cleaning lady. Unfortunately this guest broke many rules, including damaging property (multiple pieces of furniture, the dock and ladder) and having more than double the allowed guests. There were 7 cars parked at the house for the entire week. They were being such a nuisance to my neighbor because of excessively loud noise and being on her property that she was unable to work - the first and only complaint I've ever received from her or anyone in over 4.5 years of running this business. The neighbor counted 19 people in the water swarming her dock and in her yard constantly and this does not include who was in the home. Due to all of these extra people, this guest complained about a lack of hot water and space for garbage. We have three XL bins to accommodate our guests (recycling, returnable and the main standard trash container), which has been ample for everyone previously. We had our water heater inspected to ensure everything was operating properly, and the technician concluded that the 80 gallon was in perfect condition, but that it was due to the excess occupants that they were having an issue. I am dedicated to being available and accommodating to all of my renters (see all of my 5 star reviews from years of running this home) and unfortunately this renter has decided to say these things after I informed her of the damage that was done. VRBO has proof of her untrue statements and will be handling these false allegations.
Robin and Gregg were very responsive and helpful. The access to crystal lake was perfect with a small beach and dock. The house is well stocked with canoe, 2 paddle boards and 3 or 4 life vests. Bedroom space and bathroom space was perfect for 8 people. The lake is stunning, clear and has rock and sand bottom. There is an old tennis court with basketball hoop but the court is in bad shape and needs to be resurfaced. We used it for enjoyable hours of pickle ball however. We did have to clean the court up as there were lots of dead branches and debris on it.
We had a few issues that were mildly bothersome but fixable and I would still highly recommend this rental despite these issues. First issue was hot water ran out when more than 3-4 people took showers in the same hour. Robin did her best to call plumber snd this seemed to help the issue. Second issue was the debris on the tennis court. Last issue was the smoke alarms are overly sensitive and went off several times without anything actually burning in the kitchen. These issues would not prevent me from recommending the property or renting again from robin as they are easily remedied.
My only other suggestion is if you want a boat or jet ski rental reservations are needed many weeks to a month in advance as there is only 1 or 2 businesses that rent and deliver to crystal lake.

We welcome your review and and would welcome you back anytime! For clarification however the tennis court is not part of our rental, it’s strictly the home. The tennis court is another property which may be sold or built upon but we were still happy to let you use it for your enjoyment and we’re very aware that it needs repair.
I think we resolved the water issue and hopefully the smoke detectors.
We thank you for fixing the ladder in the water!
Come back soon!

This property was extremely clean and very well maintained.
All the extras provided, paddle boards, canoe, rubber rafts, pool table, tennis court, etc. we’re much appreciated and enjoyed by our multi generational family. The interior space and layout couldn’t have been better. Robin and Greg were exceptionally great hosts. Beautiful home.
We wanted a large comfortable lakefront home for our family reunion this summer and this home fit the bill. All the bedrooms were spacious and had en suite bathrooms. Importantly, the downstairs bedroom was perfect for Grandpa and Grandma. No stairs, great view, and a walk-in shower. Lots of water toys were available for our use (paddle boards, floaties, etc) Communication with the owner was prompt and efficient. We will definitely look to book this place again when we return to Crystal Lake.
This is a lovely home that is well appointed and well maintained. The view of Crystal Lake is beautiful. The beds and linens are very comfortable. The kitchen has anything needed to cook and serve a meal. There is also a BBQ Charcoal Kettle Grill available outside. There are plenty of bath towels and also beach towels. The home is spacious, comfortable and has wonderful access to Crystal Lake. We spent hours on the lovely patio, deck and beach. There is a large tree on the beach that gives shade for those who would rather stay out of the sun. There is a canoe, plenty of floats, numerous outdoor chairs (Adirondack chairs, folding chairs, Zero Gravity Lounge Chairs, Chaise Loungers), and a lovely umbrella table and chairs on the patio for dining. Every evening, we gathered on the dock to watch the sunset, which is glorious. Then we would relax around the fire in the beach firepit. We had three cars with us and there was room in the driveway for all of them. We had a lovely time and were truly comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit and spending time at this wonderful property.
Robin and Greg (Owners) met us upon arrival and showed us where everything was located. They are lively and gracious hosts, who are quickly available, if needed. Robin was wonderful about responding in a timely manner to any questions we had, prior to our arrival.

Fantastic Home!
This house had it all.
Lots of space: We traveled with 2 over 40s and 6 teenagers to 20-somethings. This place was perfect. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well-sized and comfortable. There was plenty of space for all of us to hang out and have different activities going on. We cooked, played games, hung out on the lake, and generally had a blast. There are also a lot of deck chairs outside for long summer evenings.
Clean and inviting: Robin has a clean, comfortable home and provides a lot of small niceties (I don't like showing up to a home and there not being any hand soap - Robin has it ready for you). The kitchen was easy to cook in, with everything well-stocked.
Perfect location: You wake up every morning looking at the lake. It is truly right outside your back door. Additionally, it is about a quarter mile from the marina, so it's really easy to rent jet skis or a pontoon boat for the afternoon.
Friendly: Robin and Greg were welcoming, but not intrusive. Their "instructions" for the home are minimal and easy to manage.
Overall, we loved staying here, and would definitely book it again!

BEAUTIFUL
Amazing house. Perfect location. Lots of room for everyone.
Loved the outdoor space with all the seating and the canoe and paddle boards! Only thing I would do differently is clear about 6 feet area of the rock to make a beach area for better entry into the water. Climbing over the rocks to go swim is a bit hard, espceically for kids.
Kids loved exporting the house. The sitting area upstairs was a favorite spot.
Overall WONDERFUL and we will definitely come back another time!
