Amazing house with large pool and wonderful grounds

Stayed at this house with an extended family group. The house is beautiful, characterful and quirky, and everyone was very comfortable. The grounds are amazing, lovely safe garden for the children to play in and explore, and we spent many happy hours in the pool! Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Good .Childrens play ie trampoline etc not usable as wasp problem with fallen fruit .Wasp nest outside main bedroom ..Some cooking pans not great for use.Kitchen tap handle kept falling off. Really enjoyed our stay and great help given when requested extension on leaving time .

Hi Delia, many thanks for the review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at the house and especially the pool which you said was a hit! With the incredibly warm summer the mass of blossom led to an unusual abundance of pears on the tree this year! I’m sorry if the fruit that fell off the tree during your weeks stay attracted wasps and caused an issue. The area was cleared immediately before your stay but unfortunately more obviously fell whilst you were here. I’ll look further into a nest outside a bedroom, which I haven’t located thus far thank you for flagging. I note that there are a large amount of pans for use, some of which are heavy bottomed and only applicable for the aga (which is not on in the summer). The washer is missing on the tap so this has been replaced. Wishing you all the very best and we would welcome your return! Thank you for staying. Kind regards Mark and Nat

An amazing country escape

We are an Australian family who rented this beautiful property over Christmas with our family. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect house. It was so tastefully decorated, wonderfully equipped, immaculately clean , spacious yet cosy, and we loved waking up to the view of the British country side from the master suite. The games room was a hit for the children and sitting by the open fire in the living room was so magical. We loved gathering in the picturesque kitchen sharing a meal and really enjoyed cooking on the Aga. The cottage attached to the main house was perfect for our extended family. Nat was a fantastic host and was always available if I had a question. We went on lots of country walks next to the property. I would highly recommend staying here and would most definitely book this accommodation again.

Lovely family stay

The house and cottage were perfect for our family of 3 generations. The separate areas for 3 family groups worked really well. The pool and gardens were amazing, and the beach house with towels and changing area was an added bonus. Overall the accommodation felt like a comfy family home with a fabulous games room, play garden and lots of space.
