The spacious living/dining room enjoys winter views of the lake and a short walk brings you to its shores where you can watch the boats sailing by. A car ferry runs to the far side of the lake taking visitors to Sawrey and Hawkshead, or you can take a trip on one of the steamers north to Ambleside or south to Lakeside. There is plenty to see and do including the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Steamboat Museum, as well as an 18 hole ‘pitch and putt’ and sailing marinas. Bowness provides a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a wide range of shops, all within easy reach. Shop 1½ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Great location near Bowness-on-Windermere yet peaceful and beautifully set in huge garden grounds.
Great location near Bowness-on-Windermere yet peaceful and beautifully set in huge garden grounds. Very relaxing, well equipped and spacious accommodation. Wonderful spot for e-mountain biking in many directions with great country pubs to visit and dine in (Brown Horse at Winster really good).Minor points such as couldn’t find brush and dustpan in apartment and also certain corners of rooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned for quite a while but it didn’t detract from overall lovely week.

Everything was perfect in the apartment- we had everything required and it was well appointed.
Everything was perfect in the apartment- we had everything required and it was well appointed. The only constructive feedback we would give is that the communal hall areas could do with a spruce up - it was a little out of character when compared to the rest of the building and smelt musty. Apart from the actual living area was wonderful.

The flat was large, cosy, well decorated with great views being on first floor! We had a dripping toilet & weird smell in another toilet but left the cleaners a note! In places the flat was a little dusty but overall it was great! The parking spaces weren't very clearly labelled so if arriving when it's dark it could cause confusion & there weren't many visitors parking spaces, so in height of season could be a problem! We would definitely recommend & hopefully be back again

Great but some facilities????
Some appliances did not work. Surfaces needed dusting. Some Windows were not cleaned which impeded the view. However Well stocked with books games and DVDs. It’s a 15 walk to town which should be mentioned. If bedding is required to be stripped then this should be reflected in advertising.
