About the host

Hosted by Ian Mason

Host profile image
We are Liz, Ian and Lauren (and Milo the daft Lab). We moved to Summercourt in October 2017 after 6 months of extensive house hunting across the whole county.

Why they chose this property

Summercourt, and Beacon House gave us a great central location with easy access to the whole county and with beaches just 10-15 minutes away the potential was there for us to fulfil our plan of offering affordable, accessible holiday accommodation.

Beacon lodge was purchased and installed on the properties large grass garden area over the winter of 2021 and has been listed successfully on AirBNB since June 2021.

What makes this property unique

We purchased the lodge second hand, it was previously sited in Hastings, and built for a family with a wheelchair user. This matched our aim to offer family friendly and accessible accommodation as we feel there is a shortage within the county.

As dog owners ourselves we also wanted to create a pet friendly space as we understand how important this can be for owners wanting a relaxing break.

We look forward to welcoming you to Beacon Lodge.
