It is a lovely, spacious, sunny property. It felt like home from home. Access does require a little work as there are many steps to negotiate but well worth the effort. In warmer weather it is likely most holidaymakers would eat out on the decking which has a view of the beach and countryside
This was our second time staying at the Beach House and we absolutely love it. Really great location, only a few minute walk to the beach and bars/restaurants. The beds are super comfortable and the place is always lovely and clean. The shower in the ensuite was a bit temperamental but thankfully could just use one of the others. We absolutely love sitting on the decking looking out to the beach. There are a lot of stairs to the property but we don't really mind this at all. A little difficult to get two cars on the drive but grateful it has parking. Already booked again for next year!
We had an amazing weekend, everything we needed and it was so clean. Beds and sofa really comfortable and plenty of space for everyone. Host Mark was great and got back to me with a solution very quickly. Plenty of parking in car park, steps up to property bit tricky but ok if fit. Great stay thank you
Fantastic weekend with friends at this beautiful Beach House

The Beach House is a fabulous place to stay - Just like home from home.
Plenty of space for everyone who went. Very well equipt with everything you could need.
The only downside for us, was the parking. It was very difficult to get up the slope for the first car as it's steep and the second car couldn't get on the driveway, so that the driver could get out and even though the car was in park, it rolled down the ramp.
But all said would recommend a stay in the Beach house as it's amazing :D

The house was really lovely, the booking process was very hard work. The dates were changed as VRBO should not have allowed us to book the dates we did apparently. We rebooked for the day after but then paid more. I was then contacted to change the dates again and I said I couldn't. Then 2 weeks before we were due to stay we were told this house we booked was being refurbished so we had to stay in the sister house. So although the house was great, this was the hardest booking I have had with VRBO. It did turn out alright in the end though.
Great place to stay for 11 of us ( 3 families) in February. Mark was great with his communication and gave us an extra mattress so we could accommodate an additional person. Lovely spot, sea views and easy to find. Yes, there are steps up to the house (about 70) but we all managed it and we're getting on a bit! We managed to park two small cars on the concrete ramp/driveway. The 30 metres of unmade road to it is narrow so possibly tricky if you are nervous driver...but again we managed it with three different drivers.Would definitely book again!
Really lovely house with great views over the bay. Ideal place for a grown up family to celebrate my husbands 60th. Lots of space and really well equipt. The parking is a bit tricky, car park in the village free for the next few months.
We had a fabulous stay at The Beach House and was perfect for our requirements for a long weekend to visit and celebrate an elderly parent's birthday who live locally and with family who live in Porthtowan. Whilst we used it as a base and for breakfast, it was very condrtsbke for 6 adults and 1 teenager. The beds were extremely comfortable with big feather duvets and luxury bed linen and their was plenty of hot water for all the bathrooms and showers. The views are stunning and worth the steps up from the car each time. All in all we enjoyed this house and have already booked for a longer visit next summer.
The house was great for a group of 8. it has good rooms and was clean. For our group it was big enough and it has all what is needed. It was a lovely time in Porthtowan and the house is located perfectly.
A fantastic weekend away with family to celebrate a 40th birthday! We all enjoyed the house especially the views and location. Overall, an excellent stay. Thank you!
Great holiday house and close to beach. We appreciated the improvements that have been made to the property since our last visit but we missed the large bbq which has been replaced with a small one not big enough when cooking for ten guests .
This house is in a stunning location with amazing sea views. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our weeks holiday. We had adults, an infant and dogs too. It felt spacious enough that we all had our own spaces and the fact there were 4 bathrooms was amazing. The steps upto the house are difficult but so worth it.
My daughter and myself had a wonderful time. The property is fantastic.Steps were a challenge, I was worried because I am 70 years old, but managed them ok.

The property was excellent however there was no prior information about the difficult access up steps from the car park area that had a narrow unmade track approach which would have influenced my booking.
Great property, good kitchen facilities, great location near the beach, but the uneven access caused more issues than expected; one of our party fell on loose decking and broke their glasses.
Perfect place for a family holiday so close to the beach and with amazing views!
Great house, location. Fantastic balcony and fire pit area with incredible views. It was a relaxing, comfortable and easy stay with everything we could have needed.
We are a family with Cornish roots who love Porthtowan. We bought the Beach Cottage for the stunning views over the beach and coastline beyond. We furnished the house to a high standard with 1 to 2 families in mind, so you can have a relaxing holiday in Cornwall.
Why they chose this property
The North Cornwall Coast is simply stunning, crossing the River Tamar from England lifts the spirit and you know you are in a special place. Porthtowan is a hidden gem of a beach, though its place in the development of surfing in the UK has increased its popularity. With over a mile of sand you will always have plenty of space even in highest summer.
We dreamed of a home with a sea view and Beach House has just that. No driving to the car park, just walk down and back at your leisure. Of course Cornwall has many other attractions and Porthtowan is centrally located for most of them.
