This unique & luxury home is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Our historical building is in the beating heart of the Old Town, once home to Duke of Wellington and our blue plaque is proudly presented just outside your apartment window.

The Old Town is famous for its busy festive calendar which makes our apartment perfect for watching the Jack in the Green festival from your living room window or as a relaxing base for visiting one of the many food, wine or musical events.

This was an excellent property. Exactly what was advert and we had an amazing time. The place was in a brilliant location, was comfortable and well-resourced and value for money. I loved the quirky mix of history and modern confort. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the Duke of Wellington and adored the decor as well as the amazing location! Such a beautiful place to stay with so much character, history and love put into it. One tiny thing we were sad about was the lack of cafetiere or stove pot to make coffee - next time we'll bring one!

Perfect Stay !

What a unique & fun spot to stay in Old Town, easy walking to George Street, beach / water and general exploring. Hosts were very helpful, responsive and flat was well kept, appointed and comfortable. We had an amazing time, highly recommended!! The welcome basket was a nice touch.

Great property!

This was a bit of a find - great location (right in the Old Town towards the seafront), beautifully decorated and full of antiques from the antiques shop downstairs. It had everything we needed and there was a fantastic bakery hamper provided with breakfast things and milk. We will be back!

Lovely apartment in excellent location

Beautifully furnished apartment in the perfect location for visiting Hastings and the surrounding area. A lovely welcome pack was provided from the bakery next door. We had a great time!

Old town fun

What an excellent place to stay, right in the heart of the old town, on the route of the Jack in the Green procession. Comfortable, clean, and interesting decor and furnishings. Very spacious apartment. Our group had a great time here. Thank you - hope we can stay again some time.

Great stay

My brother and I spent four nights at the apartment and head a wonderful time. The location, on the high street, was in the midst of stores and restaurants but not noisy. Pollyanna and her folks were accessible, friendly, and knowledgable. The apartment itself was very comfortable: great beds, well equipped and very pleasant. Couldn't have had a better time and a better place to stay. Really terrific.

Very comfortable and atmospheric. Yes the stairs are steep and bit narrow but what would you expect in a 300 yr old property. Excellent location, room sizes, layout & sympathetic modernisation. You are right in the middle of a very historic town without endless traffic & people noise.

Fantastic place

The flat is ideally located in the Old Town of Hastings. You live in the warehouse of the antique store on the first floor. Of course, there are no customers. Wonderful small and large objects embellish the apartment. There is enough space for six people. Only the fridge could be bigger for six people. But that is really the only criticism of this beautiful apartment. We had a wonderful time there

Easter break 2025

We holidayed as two couples, occupying the 2 main bedrooms. Both of us agreed the bedrooms and beds were comfy. Overall the accommodation was perfect. We loved the quirkiness of layout throughout. It was a surprisingly warm and quiet accommodation considering the age of the property. The location of the property is perfect. Central to everything. Checking in and out was easy.The only issue we had was parking. Especially arriving on Good Friday, when all the car parks were ful. Obviously not a property issue but something you need to be aware of, although there is a loading bay outside the shop where you can stop long enough to drop your bags.Overall, we would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking. Enjoy!

Excellent stay in the center of Old Town

So happy we stayed here on our recent four night trip to Hastings. The property is large and spacious and well furnished. It is very centrally located. After using the buses our first day (with luggage and tired from train travel with three kids and luggage), we relied on our own two feet after that. Easy walk to the Hastings train station without luggage and to anywhere else in the Old Town area and beachfront. The host provided us with a few basic breakfast provisions on arrival which was super nice. The place felt quite cold when we arrived because we were a bit early. We’re not used to places with radiator heating but give it time and keep the doors closed as instructed and it comes to a good temperature. The property does have two steep staircases inside and stairs up to the front door that would not be suitable for children under 6-7 years of age and probably older people as well (70 maybe)? Just the nature of being an older place. We only had the one kitchen trash bag despite a large role of recycling bags. We didn’t realize this until we were trying to clean up for departure. I’m sure a simple oversight because otherwise everything was great. The bathrooms/toilets/showers as lovely and modern, so no worries about that!

Eine wunderschöne schöne Unterkunft in der Altstadt von Hastings. Wir wurden herzlich willkommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es war alles sauber. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen. Alles ist fußläufig sehr gut zu erreichen. Ein kleiner Minus Punkt sind die Parkplätze. Die meisten sind Gebührenpflichtig ca 13 Pfund am Tag. Wir hatten noch Glück und einen freien Parkplatz gefunden.

Stilvoll und cool!

Tolle und großartig eingerichtete Wohnung auf drei Stockwerken. Super Mischung aus Antiquitäten und modernem Mobiliar. Mitten im alten Stadtzentrum gelegen neben Kneipen, Bäckerei und 5 Min vom Meer entfernt. Trotzdem ruhig und es gab sogar kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten nicht allzu weit entfernt! Gerne immer wieder 👍👍👍
