Catania can boast a beautiful historical center, listed among the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Its architectural wonders, as well as the colorful street markets, the wild beauty of Mount Etna and the crystal-clear sea of the coasts will literally seduce you.
Among the others, the Cathedral of Sant’Agata (the city’s patron saint), Bellini theater, the street markets, Via Etnea (Catania’s most important and scenographic street), the wonderful Monastery of the Benedictines (home to the faculty of Human Sciences) and the Etna are really worth a visit.
And obviously, it is impossible not to mention Catania’s culinary tradition, with its typical arancini (fried rice balls), the iris (fried or baked stuffed bombs), Sant’Agata’s olivette (typical sweets made of almond paste and colored in green) and the famous brioches with granita.
For horse meat lovers, Via del Plebiscito with its typical street embers is really not to be missed. You can already smell the delicious aroma even from a long way off!
An unmissable stop-over just outside the city is the coast, and more specifically the beautiful Gulf of Acitrezza, where in 1881 Giovanni Verga set his best known novel, “I Malavoglia”.
Catania Fontanarossa airport is only 8 km away from the accommodation.

This property was clean inside and was pleasantly supplied with a coffee maker. The beds were comfortable but the pull down shade in the master BR was difficult to regulate. The view was fantastic with the sea from the front and Mt. Etna from the back.

We had a great stay. The apartment was close (by car) to the centre and to the main roads going north and south. Supermarket was approx 6 min walk. Free parking close to the apartment was a problem though and a hassle every evening. Paid parking was no problem but then you had to get up early unless you had the right parking app, which we didn't. Would be a nice idea for the owner to advise on. But make sure you rent a small car. Apart from that everything was great.

Inaccurate website description
It was a challenge to be in touch with the property manager. We arrived slightly early but I had been trying to communicate that to the property manager more than 24 hours in advance. There wasn’t a/c in one of the bedrooms. No laundry (there was a discrepancy on the Vrbo listing and the other wonderful Italy listing). The water pressure in the both showers was very low. There were no hand towels for the bathrooms. The garbage process was clear enough, but when we followed the videos instructions and shut the back gate, we got locked out of the property. None of the keys on the key ring worked to open the back gate. We walked around the property to get back to the front. I would not stay here again.

Parking is a nightmare!!!
The property itself was fine. The neighborhood was not a goid neighborhood. The parking was a nightmare. No onsite parking. I asked before hand and was told lots of parking. Not so true. Pleanty of permit parking. If no permit you are subject to towing away. Not any fun. If you do not have a car you will be ok as long as you have a taxi ot uber. On our first day the host was late bring us the keys. When we got to the apartment the door know fe off and it wS a hadtle to get in. I made the propert management aware immediately. No one came out to repair the door the 3 days we were there. The kitchen door was not locked that led to ourside and you had to leave property unlocked. That was not what we expexted. Im not sure i would stay there again.

Dear Gary,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're delighted to hear that you appreciated our property. However, we're sorry to learn that your experience wasn't entirely positive due to factors beyond our control.
While we don't have private parking, there are paid parking spots (blue stripes) available nearby, or guests can opt for secure parking facilities in the vicinity. We regret that this issue wasn't brought to our attention during your stay, as we would have certainly tried to assist you in the best possible manner.
Regarding the check-in process, we want to clarify that our welcome agent was indeed waiting for you at the main gate while you were in the lobby, leading to a misunderstanding and subsequent wait. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
As for the minor issues with the doors in your accommodation, please know that we strove to provide immediate assistance whenever possible.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon and hopefully change your perspective.
Best regards,
Wonderfulitaly
Large and bright apartment with a great ocean view on one side and view of Mt. Etna on the other. Excellent communication with the rental company.
Both of the showers leak a little making the floor wet after. Plenty of hot water which is more important.
Only 1 set of keys. This became a real inconvenience for us on several occasions. 4 Adults for 8 days seldom do every outing together. Occasionally one couple wanted to do something other than what the other couple wanted to do so we had to coordinate comings and goings. A second set of keys would have been nice.
Loud music well into the night could be heard most nights from the bedroom on the ocean side of the flat. If you are a light sleeper, take the other bedroom. There is no coffee maker. There is a kettle, but not even a French press. Location is pretty good. 1/2 hour walk from central station but really close to Europa station. 40 minute walk to central Catania . A few decent places to eat right by the flat, but a plethora of nice eating spots within a 20 minute walk.
