About this property
Spacious, modern and well-situated residence - 5mins walk to the beach!
The Hampden is situated in a prime location for visitors to Barbados, Fitts Village, St. James. The supermarket and the beach are just at the end of the road, and local tourist hotspots and bus routes to Bridgetown, Holetown and Speightstown are only a few minutes walk away. The house has a spacious reception area and ocean view balcony with an well stocked and open-plan kitchen and breakfast bar.
The air-conditioned master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and dressing room. It also benefits from a separate access to the rear ocean view balcony and itself has double aspect windows, looking out onto Fitts Village Beach. Bedroom 1 is also air-conditioned and ample sized with good storage. Bedroom 2, is sited at the front of the property so benefits from the cool sea breeze, but also has air conditioning for those warm, stuffy nights. Bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 are served by a shared shower room.
The large open plan reception and dining room has several windows and large French balcony doors which lead on to a full width sea view balcony. The fully equipped kitchen sited to the front of the house is encircled by the breakfast bar. The lounge is extremely comfortable with ample seating and a smart TV and sound system, and the dining area is depicted with a 6-seater glass dining table, big enough for many Bajan feasts!
The house also has its own gated driveway, residential gate and a front porch which benefits from a cool sea breeze once the sun goes down.
Kenridge Park is a very safe neighbourhood and quiet without being too far from civilization! Being the first house on the right, you can see the property on your approach up the hill so its easy to see and find.
~As children we loved the early mornings when you can clearly hear the Whistling frogs and local chickens announcing they're awake and ready for the day. Sit on the balcony and keep the sun company as it rises and you'll see Green monkey families running down our fences on both sides of the property. We always loved watching the small baby monkeys clinging to their mothers, eating any fruit they could get their hands on and escaping their mothers clutches to tease the local cockerels!
We have a full 'Staying at The Hampden' booklet which gives you all the information you need for a comfortable stay. A digital copy will be emailed to you shortly before your arrival.

We are a UK-based, brother and sister duo from a close knit family, a lot of whom live in and around Barbados.
Both our Mum and Dad were born in Barbados so we spent many summers at this house. Justin now has 3 young sons and Kelly has 2 young daughters and now we all come to Barbados whenever we can, as does Grandma.

Why they chose this property
This property belonged to our parents; the land was bought, in honour of us, by our mum and dad when we were born, and the property built and then re-renovated over the last 40 years. As an Architectural Designer, Kelly had a small hand in this! The Hampden is very sentimental to us and the area is our second home.
What makes this property unique
This is our family home and holds many happy childhood memories for us. Its also grown with us and contained our own family memories too. We hope you enjoy its peace, and its closeness to all you need for a great holiday, as much as we did and continue to do.
