Spend the Night in an Historical, Luxury Downtown Home by Lucky Savannah

Built in 1842 and having recently completed a full exterior renovation, this beautiful home looks better than ever with fresh paint, new shutters and lovely landscaping! Not only feeling pretty on the outside, the inside is also feeling the love with new air conditioning and humidity controls for the top floors of the home, a new tankless water heater and new large smart TV in the den. The open floor plan is light-filled and sophisticated with original heart of pine floors and period moldings throughout. Highlights include a super plush Shabby Chic couch in the living room overlooking East Saint Julian, a chic dining room featuring a custom table, fireplace and gorgeous crystal chandelier, and fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a butcher block island.

The primary bedroom welcomes you with a beautiful Queen bed, views of River Street fireworks, a flat-screen TV, and a custom California closet. Adjacent to the master, a family room with large Smart TV and spacious desk easily converts to an additional bedroom with Queen sleeper sofa. The top floor of the house boasts views of the Cathedral and the twinkling Talmadge bridge at night and features three original Jack Leigh prints, the famous photographer most known for his photo of the "Bird Girl," which was chosen for the cover of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

The private rear courtyard features a built-in professional gas grill. The perfect spot for visiting with friends and family, dining alfresco, or just relaxing as you listen to the gentle clip-clop of the horse-drawn carriages that regularly saunter by. Please take note, smoking is not allowed on the premises of this home, including the courtyard. Rent the garden apartment on the ground level of the home with separate entrance for even more space. There's designated parking space in the garage that will fit one small SUV, compact car, or sedan. For larger and additional vehicles, all other parking is on-street metered Monday-Saturday 8AM-8PM.

Beautiful property in historic Savannah

We loved our stay. The property management offered us this wonderful place when our initial property booking had the a/c go out. The place is amazing and the splash pool was a highlight and fun place to relax and socialize.

30th Anniversary Trip

Words of appreciation is an understatement!!!!!! We could not have done this trip without VRBO and their part of these plans!PERFECT location!Parked our car in the garage and didn’t need it for anything. Walked everywhere we wanted to go. House was AMAZING! Everything you might need and more. Clean, comfy beds, blankets, all kitchen supplies, everything you could think of. Book your reservations early for restaurants, trolleys, riverboat & ghost tours. So much fun!!! We did a 2 day trolly and was totally worth it. DOTS bus was FREE and VERY convenient & safe!!!

Birthday Celebrations

This house is beautiful and close to most attractions. We parked our cars and didn't get in them again until we left the property. No need for cars or Ubers. Note: you do need to pay for street parking. The home had everything we needed and it was a lovely stay. I would recommend this home. Two comments: Note this is not a 4 bedroom, 3 bath home. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath with a den (and pullout sofa) which is also a small tv room so no privacy. Also, no reflection on the home itself but we asked for an early check-in and check-out for which we were accommodated AT A PRICE. Given no guests were in the home the day before arrival or the day after arrival, I felt $80 for early check-in and another $80 for late check-out was excessive.

Reviewer Comments: This is a great property in a great location: between 2 small parks and a block off Broughton St. This would be a great place to host a larger group. The outdoor BBQ area looks fantastic but unfortunately, I wasn't able to try it out. I came home and wanted to remodel my kitchen to make it like this one. The kitchen is stocked with blender, a food processor and everything you would expect. My only negative is the master bath isn't connected to the bedroom and there should be shower handles in the master shower: I was afraid of slipping. I would use this location again in a second, especially if hosting a group. I don't think anyone would regret staying here. Great neighborhood, quiet street: lovely.

A New Year's getaway in Historic Savannah

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was an absolute southern dream, located in Savannah's historical district. The back of the house faces rainbow row! The house has everything you need and is very well-equipped. It's a very old house, so there are some signs of age throughout the house, but the house is kept updated and beautifully decorated. We rented it for two families to share on a New Year's trip, and it was perfect. The location is so central. We parked our cars and never used them throughout the entire time we were there. The only issue we had was that the garage parking spot was not available for us, but the owners were extremely accommodating and helped us get street parking and even treated us to a dinner to ease the inconvenience. Upon departure, we all agreed that we will stay here again.

Great girls weekend

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Savannah! The house was just lovely - very comfortable and conveniently located. We had rented a car which we really didn't need. Would rent again!

The house was very clean, well decorated and comfortable with plenty of room forums to spread out. Lots of gadgets in the kitchen to make drinks, smoothies, etc. The only disappointment was the outdoor area. It was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures and the furniture was in need of a power wash. We didn’t end up sitting out there for cocktails as envisioned. But still, would highly recommend this place!

The beds and communal areas are very comfortable.However, there were a few hiccups durning my stay. The power did go out in one room, but that was solved after we located the breaker and flipped the switch. Also, there were multiple dead bugs on the floor and an animal Skelton spread around the stairs to the patio. These issues can be fixed with more vigilant housekeeping, so I’m sure it was just a mistake that day.

Home too hot to enjoy!

SO disappointed in the a/c “rules” of this property. Each thermostat had notes on them asking that they NOT be set below 75 deg!! The house was HOT, humid and miserable. None of us slept well b/c we were so hot!!!

Wonderful location. Could walk to most sites on our list. The included parking garage is for a smaller SUV or compact car. Our Toyota Sequoia was too long. Parking on the street, however, was not an issue. We purchased the daily visitor parking pass for the time we were there. As we did drive our auto around the city, some, this pass also covered any on-street metered parking for the city of Savannah. An enjoyable time. Look forward to returning, at some point.

Great place in historic quiet neighborhood close to River

Nice house in nice location in convienent area. Great spaces on first floor for groups to hang out in kitchen, dining room and living room. Bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs are nice. Couple of flights of stairs involved but worth it!

Beautiful historic home close to everything.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a fine house for six to eight people. Three bedrooms sleep two each plus a den with a pull out sofa for two. Kitchen is modern, very clean and well equipped, although I have the same oven with the same inaccurate temperature issues. (Calibration instructions are in the owners manual). Beautiful bathrooms (there are two full baths) are very clean and well supplied, albeit hard to maneuver with more than one person. Garage is very small but can accommodate a compact car. Available metered parking is available close by. The best thing about this house is its beautiful decor and location. We never needed the car; everything is within walking distance. Only a few drawbacks: the floor on the main level was quite dirty, the drapery in the front windows is falling off the rings and shredding on one side. The main living room has comfortable seating for only four people. There was a storm the day before we arrived, so the outside patio was a mess. We straightened it up but it never was quite inviting with all the tree debris. Most of these items are easily remedied. There are so many thoughtful elements to this house, they far outweigh these minor items. The owner has supplied a fantastic assortment of books, great lighting, a little step stool for the magnificent and very high master bed (which was incredibly comfy!) Great closets! This house is loved and you can feel it. We will definitely return.

Beautiful Home Away From Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband, daughter and I stayed here for our wedding week with my mom and her husband. This home was absolutely beautiful! The windows provided great natural lighting during the day. The home is three stories so there was enough space for everyone to have an escape. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, bathe and do laundry. The location could not have been better. We were in walking distance of the wedding venue, rehearsal dinner venue, River Street, restaurants, bars, Broughton Street and more! We did have a rental car, but only used it to pick up groceries, get to the gym and to my hair appointment. The car was too big to fit in the garage, but street parking was always available right next to the house. It was a little chilly during our stay so we didn't spend too much time in the courtyard, but it was beautiful. I highly recommend this home for your next vacation!

Son's Wedding Week

We enjoyed the home very much, plenty of space and beautiful rooms for photos for my son's wedding. There were just a few comments for the owners. We do also have rental property and I always appreciate any feedback from our renters. We did a lot of cooking and although there was plenty of plates, etc there were no spices, not even Salt and Pepper in the house. The Iron in the house is very old and was not helpful ironing many things for the wedding that we needed to get a steamer for our cloths. We also found there was not enough towels for our stay which we had to do laundry (glad there was a washer and dryer) but not what I wanted to do for the week of a wedding when I needed to do so much more. I also would spray for ants and cockroaches where we did experience seeing many of these in the house. One more thing I would suggest buying a nice wooden step stool for the master bedroom, much too high and we aren't old people. These things were minor and I hope you don't take it the wrong way, your home is lovely and we would stay there again if we come back to Savannah. Truly a wonderful home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The historic home we rented was in an excellent location - 2 blocks in any direction and you were on the parade route. Walking distance to River Street and City Market. But the home itself was the star of our weekend. High end furnishings that were very comfortable and accommodating for an extended family get together. Everyone LOVED this luxurious home. I only wish we had stayed longer. Also, Lucky Savannah was incredibly responsive to our requests - sometimes within minutes someone showed up at the house. I will definitely rent with Lucky again, and hopefully stay at this lovely home for a week.
