Ancient villa, swimming pool, WI-FI, parking - GLICINE - La Piana

Really enjoyed hosting these guests! Quiet,organized and very environmentally friendly. Would have them back any time and would recommend them to any host. They were really excellent guests!

I am sorry that my property, which you hastily booked, was not to your wife's liking and that, after spending a night in the flat, you left the next morning leaving the front door open with the keys inserted, with the obvious risks that this entailed. I am saddened that because of your disappointment you have written a review that is purely fabricated. The cleaning of the flats has always been at the centre of my host's duty, expecially as regards the linen, in precious fabrics enriched with antique handmade embroidery, wich requires special attention, as does the care of the family's antique furniture and of all the individual rooms; particularly at this difficut time, which requires great care, even in disinfecting (doors, handles, switches, etc.). Ditto for the external cleaning, inside my property, among olive trees, chestnut trees and many, many flowers, cultivated and wild, in a clearly rustic environment, regularly taken care of by the gardener. In the vicinity of the property, an old farmhouse was undergoing restoration works inside, but at that time these were suspended for holidays, as can be witnessed by the Wolfang's family who occupied the Gelsomino flat above and who, like Alfons' family, whom I hosted, for the third year, in the Glicine flat before you, left a 5-star review. As you can see, since 2013, my guests have always rewarded me with excellent and truthful review. La Piana is a magical place, which I call "my Paradise" and I regret that you have described it as "an unreal environment" in a negative sense. Yours is "a voice outside the choir". Sorry.

Thanks for the great appreciation that you used towards me in relation to your stay at Villa La Piana. I think it is fair to welcome guests with kindness and humanity. I did everything with great spontaneity and true heart, thinking that if I were in your place in a foreign country I would have liked very much to be helped. I regret that, due to the torrential rains of the period (May), the final stretch of the road was not perfect: consequently, I proceeded immediately, I hope to see you again in my "Paradise". I am grateful for the expressions of complete satisfaction you expressed after your holiday in my house. I greatly enjoyed the appreciations made in general and, particularly, the appreciation on the special attention given to my guests during their stay in La Piana. I too was very happy to host you all. I want to point out, addressing myself to my future guests, that my property is about 500 meters above sea level, on the slopes of a pleasant hill dotted with medieval villages, in the mists of olive groves and orchards, with, behind the house, ancient woods. La Piana, an ancient manor house of the nineteenth century, outside of a medieval village (borgo), has just been restaured under the direction of a well-known architecte of great experience. It is equipped with every confort (including soundproofing ceilings and walls) and is completely immersed in the natural surroundings. It is far from any indiscrete eye as inside a private property of 16,000 square meters. A grocery store (the so-called "bottega"), with bar and restaurant-pizzeria, is 2 kilometers away and, at 6 kilometers, there are bars, restaurants, a supermarket, a bank, a post office, a pharmacy and various shops (foreign newspapers are sold in a stationary shop).
