Absolutely lovely holiday cottage in a very pleasant village.

Absolutely lovely holiday cottage in a very pleasant village. We stayed for 1 week and found that the cottage is very comfortable with high-quality furnishings. The log burner was cosy after long walks in the beautiful Lakeland countryside. The village of Askham is pretty, with two decent pubs and a shop within a few minutes' walk. We liked how dog friendly it is too! Would happily stay here again.

Two couples, stayed for four nights.

Two couples, stayed for four nights. Clean comfy and warm aided by the nice little wood burner. Two good pubs and a Michelin starred restaurant within easy walking distance. The pubs do tend to stop serving food early and in the case of Queens Head are not open all week so plan accordingly. This was in early Feb so no complaints about the pubs.

A super recently-converted barn accommodation.

A super recently-converted barn accommodation. The cottage is fully equipped (even down to a convenient EV charge point in the drive). The beds a comfy, the bathrooms are luxurious. The village itself is very quiet and peaceful. Would happily return in the future.

A beautifully done conversion with first class fixtures and fittings, you can absolutely feel the love and care that has been lavished on the property. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the bathrooms are top notch, no complaints at all. The village and surrounding areas are picturesque and we can definitely recommend the pizzas from the Queens Head. Overall a lovely break despite the weather! Thank you Scott, Helen and family, the place is an absolute credit to you.
