The accommodation price shown on the booking platform does not include the security deposit. The security deposit, when applicable, is a separate amount that is clearly indicated in the property listing and booking conditions before confirmation. This is standard practice for many vacation rental properties worldwide. In your case, no part of the accommodation price was retained as a security deposit. The assumption that the booking price already included the deposit was unfortunately a misunderstanding, rather than the result of incorrect information provided by us.
