About this property

Dune walkway to water! A perfect beach bungalow, built for relaxation

A rare waterfront property! Two screened porches, master bedroom, and living room overlook the Gulf. This Florida beach house, located on the exclusive north end of Casey Key, presents incredible views of sunsets and aqua waters of the Gulf of Mexico. March 2026: we have rebuilt our dune walkway over the revetment and down to the water.

Built in the 1940s by the owners' grandfather, this home has been extensively remodelled but has retained the charm & feel of old Florida. It is 100% solar-powered as of October 2011. Feel good about where you are staying!

Please note that the beach landscape is constantly changing due to nature. There is no guarantee the beach will be there. It can be there one day and gone the next. It is a 4.2 mile drive to Nokomis public beach, equipped with lifeguards and an amazing snack bar.

About Casey Key: Casey Key is an 8-mile long barrier island located on the west coast of Florida about 15 miles south of Sarasota, a cultural center. The beaches are refreshingly natural, with protected wild sea oats and mangroves providing a protective habitat for the scores of native island birds that share the island, as well as the dolphins, manatees and other aquatic wildlife living just offshore. The majority of the island is a conservation district.

What a magical location

The house was well-maintained and very comfortable. Well appointed amenities. It’s on a great location and communication with the owner was very responsive. I didn’t have very many questions as the description of the property and how to use It was very complete. If I find myself in this area again, I will definitely try my best to stay here.

Fourth of July on Casey Key

The perfect house for our far flung family to come together for a week. We loved walking right into the water, watching sunsets, the well supplied kitchen and having a grill. Plenty of places to sit and converse. We had a problem with the air when we first arrived but the owner was quick to respond. Would definitely stay again.

Beach House with no beach..

There is NO access to the water, big rocks in the way, you would break your neck trying to cool off. The gate coming in is very heavy to open and close and is dangerous to just stop in road to open and close. House was very nice.

True Beach House Experience

This beach house was amazing and the host Virginia was such a pleasure to communicate with. This was the most relaxing vacation our family had ever been on. The beach was steps away and the water was breathtaking. We loved the new steps that lead us directly into the water. Watching the sunset from the sand area was my favorate. This place had everything you could possibly need and the location is perfect. We would definitely stay here again. My daughter loves to hunt for shells and we found some pretty unique ones. Also, we got the opportunity to see a manatee swim by.

Amazing Views!

Cute little house right on the gulf! Breathtaking views and you simply can’t get closer to the water!! Super comfy beds and well stocked with paper products and kitchen has everything you need. One recommendation would be to add a mirror to assist when you are leaving the driveway. You need someone to stand outside the gate and wave you out when there are no cars coming. Would absolutely love to stay again! Virginia the owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful! We didn’t want to leave!

My family agreed that this was our favorite beach rental ever! We normally stay on Siesta Key each year but this year we wanted to get away from the crowds. We will never go back now. The most relaxing week we never wanted to leave the house. All communications with Virginia and Rita were prompt and helpful. We cannot recommend this home enough. Everything you need is there including cleaning supplies and paper products and linens. Also outdoor items such as an umbrella, chairs, grill, etc. I know we will come back!

Beautiful location

The house was great and had everything one could need and was very comfortable. A very beautiful location! It was so peaceful and quiet. The ocean was lovely. Casey Key is a lovely island and it is such a beautiful drive to drive along the island! Gorgeous homes and mansions. A must see. While we enjoyed swimming there at the house, we explored other beaches as well. We loved Nokomis Beach which is just a short few miles away on Casey Key. We went to Siesta Key Beach which is close by as well and I have never seen such a huge beach! Lovely white sand and a popular location. We went to Venice as well which is about 10 minutes away. Lovely beach and a great small town for shopping. Lovely! We ate out at the two seafood restaurants that are in walking distance from the house and tried some others nearby as well. Communication with the homeowner was easy and so was check in. I would recommend this house and location. Beautiful area! We really enjoyed our stay.

This property exceeded my expectations by far!! Absolutely amazing home, beautiful landscape, and the shortest distance to the beach I have ever experienced! Just like any home there is going to be a few quirks but the property owner left very detailed notes which was extremely helpful and I wish all rental properties were that accommodating. I have never had a vacation this relaxing and we will absolutely be renting next year :)

Hidden Gem in a 5-Star Location!

If you're looking for an oasis, this is it. The private views and water access this home offers would typically be out of my family's financial reach. The accommodations were very comfortable is this cozy older, but updated, beach front house. The owner was very detailed and up front with anything we might experience during our stay, as well as quick to answer any questions. They also offered some great suggestions on local places. There's a little bar/restaurant within an ear shot. We walked over and rented a pontoon boat, had a bite to eat, and some cocktails. Very close by, there are plenty of other things to see and do. Nakomis is a great public beach a couple miles south on the same road with some jaw dropping homes along the way. We will definitely be back and are still talking about our stay last month!
