Our stay was absolutely amazing! What a unique property. Walking around at night was so much fun for my children. Incredible experience. The church bells are loud as the description warns and ring every 15 minutes but we managed to sleep through most of it and the experience as a whole is well worth the noise!!!!
Fantastic property and location …we thought the bells were magical, the house is tucked away with a private roof terrace that means you look out over the Citadel and beyond to the sea .It was an easy walk for morning coffee and all the restaurants. Would be back in a heartbeat if I didn’t live so far away …..than you Jane
This was such a unique property. I loved being able to walk out our front door directly into the Citadel! It was nice to explore outside of the crowded times (12-3). Pros:The property was cute and very clean. It was an easy walk downhill to get groceries or grab dinner (long walk uphill to get back, though). The views were awesome. We were there at the beginning of June and it was surprisingly cool inside the apartment. We only used AC at night. Cons:There isn't a dryer, so you air dry your clothes. My clothes took so much longer to air dry than expected (over 24 hours). There isn't really anywhere inside to sit other than the beds or kitchen table. Not a huge problem, just something to be aware of. Earplugs were provided and they did help, but the bells ring every 15 minutes throughout the night. I got more sleep than I expected, but the bells played extra long (10 mins) at 6 am each day.
