The ocean cove location is beautiful. When we weren't outside, the large ocean-facing windows gave us incredible views. Eagles often landed in the trees even as we sat outside. We saw a seal swim past nearly everyday. One afternoon, there were 16 turkeys in the yard. We felt fortunate to see some boats check their nearby lobster traps. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely and special place.
We love this house! There's plenty of room for all to spread out. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking in. We love having access to kayaks to explore the shore, and the new dock makes it very easy to launch the kayaks. The adult kids love the ping pong table and the corn hole. The older generation love watching the lobster boats, the birds and the stars.
To summarize, we've already booked for next year! The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. If you want to just hang around and relax it is wonderful, also plenty of attractions if you'd prefer.
Great spot
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely situated and beautifully appointed! It has everything we needed and Sue has been very responsive and helpful. The view is gorgeous, which is a big bonus!

Thanks so much for this wonderful review! The view is one of my favorite in the midcoast area, and sitting in the Adirondack chairs in the yard, looking out to sea, could be an all-day experience! There is so much to do on the property that you don't ever have to leave...kayaks, ping pong table, board games, 2 smart televisions, 3 1/2 acres of explore, and of course sea glass hunting on the beach at low tide. But if you wanted to stretch your legs, Port Clyde is a wonderful little town that is just 2 miles away, or Rockland is a short drive. Both have lovely shops and restaurants, so be sure to explore everything! Please come back again soon!
This is a perfect place for family getaway in summer. We enjoyed the kayaking, the spectacular sunset and beautiful night sky ( we even saw shooting stars!). It is a little expensive but well worth the money.

We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed this very special home, and even got to see shooting stars! This is a very unique property which has something for just about everyone...privacy on 3 1/2 acres, ocean frontage to enjoy hunting for the ocean's treasures on the beach at low tide, kayaking from your back yard, a fabulous game room and an outdoor basketball hoop for those with a competitive streak, a gourmet kitchen, and lots of space to gather both inside and out. If you'd like some alone time with a good book, there are Adirondack chairs on the lawn, a lovely patio, and several quiet spots in the house. And if you should ever want to leave the property, the lovely little village of Port Clyde is just 2 miles away, and the town of Rockland is a short car ride. Both offer wonderful restaurants and shops. This one-of-a-kind home has been so thoughtfully decorated and outfitted that it will be your new favorite get-away spot!
This is a beautiful, well-equipped home in a wonderful location. It has plenty of room for all to spread out. We enjoyed using the kayaks to explore the shore. We’re definitely coming back!
We had a wonderful time - kayaking, hiking, reading, enjoying lobster rolls, and cooking (in the very well equipped kitchen). The views from the house are beautiful on rainy days as well as sunny. Definitely a place to return to.
This is a fantastic secluded property right on the water. The house is very tastefully decorated and well appointed with everything one needs for an extended stay.

I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay in this special home! The homeowners have definitely through of everything you might need so that you can just walk in the door and instantly feel at home! And although the property is private, you're only 3 miles from Port Clyde where you will find an art gallery, two restaurants, a wonderful general store, coffee shop, and of course, the ferry to Monhegan Island. Please come back and see us again soon!
A wonderful home and a terrific base from which to explore all that this part of Maine has to offer. Well equipped, with comfortable accommodation for the entire family. Tremendous views from the generous deck and yard.
We were two families with young kids who truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The home is spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, however the real gem is the outdoor space and gorgeous views. We also found the hosts to be generous and accommodating. We'll be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
What a wonderful stay our family had here! We frequently visit the St. George area and loved this home’s location. The house was extremely well equipped for all 3 generations of our family… great games, plenty of books and great spaces are just the beginning. The kitchen was well stocked with everything from spices to oils, sprinkles to pantry basics, utensils, cookware and serving options. Expect daily visits from seals, eagles, osprey and more. Private, peaceful and comfortable, the house had plenty of space for us all to be together (or apart)! The beds were very comfortable- some of the best sleep we’ve had while traveling. When an issue arose, the owner was immediately responsive and promptly fixed the problem. Great yard to run and play or kick back and swing on a hammock. Fantastic dock.We had a lovely time in the woods, on the water and look forward to returning!
Another great stay here, the views are just amazing and the location of the property is perfect for those looking for a quiet private escape. Always sad to leave but always feel recharged after leaving here. Thank you!

We had a lovely 2 weeks at this beautiful spot with our family. Wonderful hiking fairly close by as well as neighboring towns to explore. We always returned back to the house to prepare dinner in the wonderful kitchen and to gaze at the beautiful view.
Sue, the property manage was very receptive and very easy to deal with.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your time in this special place! The kitchen is definitely a chef's dream, and the rest of the home was done just as thoughtfully so everything you could want is right at your fingertips. The location is lovely and private, but if you want to stretch your legs a little bit there are so many places to explore here in Midcoast Maine that you'll have to come back again and again! We hope to see you soon!
Our family of 3 adult couples enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful house with a great view. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed a nature trip with Hardy Boats, a day in Rockland, and the trolls at the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. We would highly recommend!

Thanks so much for your lovely review! I'm so glad to hear that you loved the house and all of it's amenities, and were able to enjoy so many things in the area! The twenty-foot-tall wooden troll sculptures at the Botanical Gardens are a wonderful new addition and are definitely a "must see"! There are also so many hiking trails, great kayaking spots, and lighthouses to explore that you'll probably want to come back again and again! Looking forward to seeing you next time!
Six women all celebrating our 60th birthday year convened at this gorgeous home for a week of pure relaxation. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well appointed, and the LR and DR perfect sizes. We loved the balcony overlooking the water, the Adirondack chairs closer to the water, and the expansive lawn. Some of our party kayaked. We loved the location and enjoyed our day excursions. Top notch property.
We had a lovely week at the stone house. Very clean. The view of the water was wonderful. Having easy access to the beach was perfect .
Very private. The property manager was very responsive.

Thanks so much for this lovely review! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed this special home, and had perfect weather for enjoying the beach too! The private location of this home is wonderful, and having a few acres to explore in addition to exploring the ocean with the kayaks at the house, is lots of fun! The home is beautifully furnished and appointed, and has everything you could want to make this your "home away from home" the moment you arrive. Please come back and see us again soon!
The house is set on a beautiful property that slopes down to the ocean. The views are stunning.
The home is well appointed and we appreciated the well stocked kitchen. This is a great place to relax and get back to nature. I’d like to keep it a secret…

I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed this special home! The property and views are just wonderful...private and quiet, not to mention beautiful! The home itself has so many amenities it's hard to imagine leaving the property...game room complete with ping pong table, board games, puzzles, and even corn hole for outside. There are books to read, a telescope to watch the lobster boats go by, everything you need to cook that lobster supper, and great places to relax with a good book, or gather together. Please come back and see us again soon!
Three Florida couples enjoyed relaxing in this beautiful home on the oceanfront. We spent the restful week sitting in the Adirondack chairs viewing the ocean and lobster boats, searching for sea glass on the beach, eating fresh, steamed lobster on the deck, playing basketball in the driveway, walking around the beautiful landscaped yard, and enjoying delicious halibut, clams, oysters, ice cream, and pastries in the local restaurants/shops. We loved this house and area!

Thank you for your wonderful review! I think you summed up this home perfectly! There are lots of amenities to enjoy right on the property...great beach with ever changing treasures to find, lovely places to relax with a good book or a glass of wine, a fabulous kitchen to enjoy cooking local produce and seafood together. And, if you want to stretch your legs a little bit, there are so many wonderful shops, restaurants, trails, and lighthouses to explore that you might have to come back again next year! We look forward to seeing you then!
We had a wonderful time at this house! It is literally on the water. The back yard is beautiful. We used the hammock and the chairs out by the water. I loved reading a book in the sun and watching the boats go by. Port Clyde was a gem! We loved the General Store and the Dip Net restaurant! I highly recommend the lobster roll at the Dip Net. It was my favorite one out of all the other places we ate lobster rolls at.
Had another great visit to this beautiful home. Discovered new lobster shacks (McLoons!), hiked Monhegan Island (so easy to get to from Port Clyde) and wandered around Owl's Head and Rockland. This home is located near a lot of wonderful things to visit!
The homeowner and property manager also were hyper-responsive and addressed a couch issue within one day...we were super impressed. Hope to visit again soon!
With 2 king beds and 1 queen bed, this home provided very comfortable sleeping arrangements for our family get together of 3 adult couples. We will miss the sounds of the ocean and the sun lighting up the sky as a natural 5 am alarm clock! Mornings sipping coffee on the back deck, days exploring Port Clyde and Rockland, and evenings around the large dining room table playing cards/games made for a perfect vacation! Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

I'm so glad to hear that you had a wonderful vacation! Thanks so much for your lovely review! While this home boasts lots of amenities to enjoy around the table, there are also lots of amenities to enjoy out in the spacious back yard, including corn hole and kayaks, not to mention the ping pong table in the game room (anyone up for a family tournament?). Although some folks are early risers and enjoy the spectacular sunrises we get here in Maine, if you're someone who likes to "sleep in" on vacation, you can be sure to enjoy that too, since there are blinds in every room ensuring that the sun appears on your schedule. The kitchen is full of everything you need to cook anything from our world-famous lobsters to a gourmet meal, but there are also lots of wonderful local restaurants to explore. Please come back and see us again soon!
Wow!! Just Wow!! This house was exactly as pictured. We were a family of 6 adults and the space was perfect for us. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and stunning views! Quiet & secluded, yet only 20-25 minutes to Rockland and Camden. We have stayed in many rentals and this one is definitely on the top of our list! Want to do it all again next year! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your GORGEOUS home!!!
