Originally part of Greystoke Castle Estate and situated on an ex-farm, Pippa’s Cottage has been converted, whilst retaining many beautiful and original features. The Red Barn estate is set in 1.5 acres of a beautiful garden that you can enjoy, which the owner’s free-range chickens love to wander. You can see straight across to Blencathra and Great and Little Mell Fells from your private garden.
There are delightful local village walks, and cyclists will enjoy winding through the attractive villages and wildflower-laden country lanes. Ullswater, known as the most romantic lake, and the Keswick area with its spectacular high fells, are both within a 20-minute drive. This location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and those wishing to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful setting. The local village has a fantastic country pub dating from the 17th century and a local village store, and in summer there is also an heated outdoor swimming pool with a café.
