Bed linens and bath towels included. Beach chairs, beach towels, and an umbrella are provided for added convenience. No pets allowed.

Sanibel Island is the perfect place to create lasting family memories. More than half of the Island is a nature preserve so you can get an up close view of gorgeous Ibis, elegant Egrets, Blue Heron, hunting Osprey and Hawks, families of sea turtles, enjoy dolphins splashing in the gulf and spy an alligator or two.
Sanibel's bicycle paths make for an active Island of cycling, jogging and walking. The well planned paths take you from the Sanibel Lighthouse on the south end of the island to Captiva Island on the north. Along the way you will pass the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, known for its migrating bird populations, Tarpon Bay offers boating and kayaking through the mangroves. For the thrill seekers, end your ride at Captiva YOLO to go Parasailing, try the Fly board, rent Wave runners, Sailboats, Surfboards, Paddleboards and other beach activities. After enjoying your day at the beach, enjoy live music and beautiful sunset at the Mucky Duck, an Irish pub in Captiva.
Explore Sanibel’s nearby Islands of Cabbage Key, North Captiva and Lovers Key. Each Island is reachable via renting a boat or taking a charter trip through San Carolos Bay. Each Island offers something special and unique to explore.
If you find the need (most don’t!) to leave the Island, less than 30 minutes’ drive over the causeway, you will find the winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford in Fort Myers. A visit to the Edison and Ford Estates will offer fascinating insights into that era of America's history and great exhibits. 2 hours away is Sarasota offering the Ringling Museum- a first quality art museum as good as the best of any European capital. The history of the Ringling Circus is displayed in a way that will leave you speechless. Combine a day at the Ringling with shopping and lunch or dinner at St Armand's Circle.
For sports lovers, the spring training centers the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins both have their spring training in Ft. Myers.
An hour away from Sanibel is the city of Naples, with its beautiful zoo and known for its fine shops and restaurants.

Our home is decorated with artwork from local artists that appreciate the special beauty of Sanibel and Captiva. The bird and crocodile viewing from the lanai is our favorite morning activity as the children swim in the pool and the day often melts away into the evening with a BBQ al fresco.
