Great location. Short stroll to the Vatican and the Metro to travel to other memorable attractions within Rome, such as the Trevi and Colleseum. For 1st time visitors such as myself, the Metro is very safe, cheap and easy to navigate.
We wanted a place in Rome with some older charm, not some place completely modernized and devoid of character - The Grazioli apartment delivered! It was obviously clean, the beds were comfortable, the views were nice, the neighborhood was safe and offered lovely restaurants. Communication with the host, Christiano, was quick and easy - even during our stay he was very helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. While we were able to walk to the Vatican, nearly all of our other experiences were East of the Tiber so we took more Uber rides than I expected. Also, it was very hot (heat indices around 100*F) and the biggest bedroom has two exterior walls with windows in the sun all day, so the air conditioner could not keep the room comfortable - we ended up only using two bedrooms, they were very comfortable. A few fans to move the air throughout the apartment would be very helpful.I did not realize how many shops and restaurants would be closed for holiday (vacations) during August - we still had a great time, but several bakeries on my list were closed for multiple weeks and hadn't updated their Google hours. The public drinking fountains throughout Rome were very helpful. We loved Rome, loved the quiet neighborhood, would stay here again... maybe not in August though.
