SUN ROAD CABIN is one of 6 unique cabins we offer on 10 pristine acres located just off US Highway 2, and only 6 miles to Glacier National Park - either by car or paved bike path. Glaciers Mountain Resort is in a private setting for guests looking for lodging with a personal touch. If your vacation is centered around exploring this unique area, you are within minutes of area activities and attractions. SUN ROAD CABIN is an ideal place to return to after a day of adventure; to kick back, relax on your private decks and plan your next day's adventure. If you prefer time to read, write, photograph or other more solitary pursuits, you will enjoy the space, privacy and inspiring natural ambience.

SUN ROAD CABIN is a two story, two bedroom/2 bathroom cabin, beautifully furnished with northwest décor highlighting the history of the famed Going-To-The-Sun Road through Glacier National Park. The upper bedroom has a queen size bed, armoire and ceiling fan. The lower bedroom has a queen size bed and large closet. Both upper and lower bathrooms consist of a tub/shower combo, hairdryer, towels and amenities. The comfortable upper living room includes a full size futon that will sleep an additional 2 guests and leather recliner/rocker. The lower unit has a sitting area which includes a full size futon to sleep 2. The washer/dryer are in the lower unit. Relax in the comfort of your air-conditioned cabin, or cozy up the natural gas fireplace when Montana nights are chilly. Satellite TV and WiFi are provided.

The fully equipped large kitchen features an electric range, full size microwave oven, fridge and yes, a dishwasher to make clean up a breeze. Starter coffee & tea, dish soap and towels are provided. A gas grill is available if you wish to cook outdoors.

There is a picnic area with a campfire pit, where you can sit and relax after a long day of hiking and sightseeing, an upper and lower deck let you just sit back on your cabin deck with a book and enjoy the birds and beautiful scenery.

Just six miles away awaits Glacier National Park, where hikers are treated to towering mountains and sparkling lakes. Drive the famed Going-To-The-Sun Highway and be amazed at the breathtaking scenery. Enjoy one million acres of breathtaking wilderness that includes parts of two sub-ranges of the Rocky Mountains, more than 130 named lakes, more than 1,000 species of plants, and hundreds of unique animals!

Fall and Spring bicycling activities when the Going-To-The-Sun Road isn’t yet open to vehicles is a must. A bike lift is on site to help you keep your bike in shape. A paved bike path from the cabins right to Glacier Park makes getting there a breeze.

Cold month activities are just as abundant. When the winter wonderland arrives, hit the slopes at Whitefish Ski Resort (Big Mountain), explore the landscape on a cross country skiing expedition, or try your hand at ice fishing, snow-shoeing, and snowmobiling miles of trails in some of the most remote areas the northwest has to offer. Glacier Park never closes and hosts winter programs such as hiking, snowshoeing and skiing.
