We really enjoyed our time in Rome and at Casa Emma. The apartment is in a nice area and about a 30 minute walk to the Colosseum. We appreciated how clean it was and the supplies provided. The balconies were a nice feature. Marta was very helpful and patient when we ended up walking to the wrong apartment. The only downside is that the property manager must check you in and there is a pretty hefty fee for checking in after hours (it was over 30 to check in after 10 pm) and was more expensive later in the night. As a note, the check in fee and the city tax must be paid in cash. We really appreciated the places where we could self checkin (since we were traveling and didn't know our exact plans and so we didn't have to pay an additional fee) and where they could charge the city tax to our credit card. Other than that, we have nothing but great things to say about the apartment and management company. We'd definitely recommend it!
Cosy apartment with high ceilings and lots of light.Well-equipped kitchen. Well connected, with metro, tram and buses connecting to the centre. Next to Termini station.Be careful because when I made the booking on Vrbo, the price didn't mention the tourist tax, and it didn't warn me that I would have to pay it afterwards. I had to pay it there, so it cost more than expected. That was an unpleasant ‘surprise’. I felt a little misled by the Vrbo advertisement. All the information and the final price should appear in the advertisement.Another negative thing is that it is on a busy street corner with traffic noise, so at night in summer you can't sleep with the windows open (there is air conditioning).
