We had a wonderful stay in Park City! The views from the house were stunning, and the location was perfectly tucked away from the crowds while still close enough to the city and slopes for easy access. The hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of skiing, and we loved playing darts on the patio. The house had everything we could have wanted for our group of 10!

Family spring break retreat

Chantal is an absolute treasure of a host- I felt like we were friends by the time we left. Lots of special touches especially for us. The place is beautifully furnished with all amenities, but very cozy and comfortable. The views are out of this world! Hot tub after full day of skiing overlooking an incredible view is a must try! We will be back!!

Wonderful stay

We truly loved every minute of our stay in this lovely home. It was the highlight of our trip to Park City. There were dart tournaments and fights over the hammock. The chickens and horses and daily visits from neighborhood dogs were so fun and enhanced our stay. The views were incredible, and Chantal was a welcoming and thoughtful host. We would love to go back!

Perfectly gorgeous house and property with very close proximity to all major ski resorts!

We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the house and property were! The pictures don’t show just how stunning and comfortable it is. We were there for winter skiing with family and we enjoyed ourselves day and night! We had beautiful wood burning fires inside and outside every night. We used the very nice grill for steaks! Espresso machine was a nice plus! The heated floors are nice, too. Most of all the host was very accomodating! We will be returning!

Beautiful Property

Chantel was wonderful. She met us at the property and showed us how everything worked. Our family truly enjoyed the property. The house is beautiful inside with a killer view and is just as beautiful outside. We enjoyed the amenities in the backyard with our kids, grandchildren and dogs. It is a great location and would love to stay here again.

A wonderful home in a fabulous location - mountain and valley views galore!

Cannot say enough great things about the homeowner/property manager, any questions or help needed were immediately responded to by Chantal and so very gracious. The house was perfect for our stay, had friends visit as well as children and grandchildren and at 4200 sq ft, we had plenty of room, bedrooms and space to not be on top of each other. The mountain and valley views were spectacular, walking trails (6 miles) right out the front door and the surprise guest herd of elk in the backyard was something to behold!! The house sits on 10 acres and provides you all the privacy and seclusion you would want, yet is only a five minute drive from a very fine upscale shopping area called Redstone. You will not be disappointed in any way in booking this home.

Magical Month in the Mountains

This was the best trip and best vacation rental our family has ever experienced. From the moment we booked our very special one month sabbatical at the ranch, Chantal was the perfect host, offering helpful advice, responding to every question, and working hard to make sure our stay was perfect. The home is practically perfect in every way, with cozy beds and gathering spaces, nooks to slip away to read, snooze, craft or puzzle, fully stocked chef’s kitchen (and boy did we give it a workout!), luxurious bathrooms, and all the comforts of home. Stargazing from the hot tub, sledding down the hill, watching all manner of wildlife including magpies, elk, rabbits and deer parade across the property, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets over the mountains, cocoa, coffee and cocktails by the roaring fireplace; every moment was truly magical, and made for memories we will treasure forever. We got to celebrate Christmas, a birthday, and New Years at the ranch, with grandparents, visiting friends, and family, and each holiday was so fun and special in the spectacular setting we got to enjoy. It was incredibly easy to get from the ranch to the ski slopes, shopping and dining, and the road and driveway were always promptly plowed. Instacart and Uber Eats delivered with no problems, and we had so much fun cooking and exploring all the wonderful places to eat and drink around Park City, many of them recommended by our lovely host, Chantal. Our group consisted of grandparents in their 70s, parents in our 40s, a teenage daughter, an elementary aged daughter, and our mini Irish Doodle dog. We all had the time of our lives, and can’t express our gratitude enough to our host for opening her home to us. There was plenty of space to spread out, store our ski gear, and settle in for a spectacular vacation. We can’t wait to return!

Great stay on the ranch

Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful stay here. The outdoor space is great. We enjoyed seeing the horses, chickens, and elk. We played volleyball, badminton, darts and cornhole and used the outdoor fireplace and hot tub. Very convenient to highway and grocery stores, liquor stores, shops and restaurants very nearby. We cooked all our breakfasts and dinners at the house. Great to have laundry on premises. Highly recommend.

Amazing Christmas Vacation!

Taking a family ski trip has been on our bucket list for years, and this summer we decided this was the year to do it! Park City was one of our top choices to visit. I also wanted to escape the constant reminder and stress of all things Covid, so I went searching for the ideal home to rent. We are a family of six with adult and teenage children. We also brought along our golden doodle, so we needed a pet friendly home. I came across Ruda Ranch during my search, and I was intrigued, so I booked it! My instincts did not fail me. This house was wonderful! It is large, warm, and very comfortable. Best of all, THE VIEWS ARE STUNNING! We woke up to the most breathtaking sunrises most days, and for two of them we had a herd (of at least 16) reindeer join us in the backyard for breakfast. Our dog was in heaven, too! He fully embraced the free-range lifestyle :-) Most of of family skied for a few days at Deer Valley Resort. The commute was very easy, even when there was traffic or snowy weather. We also went tubing at Woodward Park, which is located just up the interstate about 10 minutes. The house is convenient to everything (shopping, ski resorts, downtown Park City), but it's located in a quieter area a couple miles from Kimball Junction. Although we loved the activities and the area of Park City, we really enjoyed hanging out at the home and being together. Cooking/grilling meals, family games, fires, and relaxing while taking in the stunning views. It was a wonderful Christmas vacation! Chantal the owner is so nice and is eager to make sure her guests are comfortable and happy. This home is well equipped, so it can be overwhelming figuring everything out. Chantal was always made herself available to answer questions and help us get acclimated. If you want to visit Park City, I highly recommend your family or group stay at Ruda Ranch! It will be an unforgettable vacation.

Fabulous house in a fabulous location--Great vacation.

So we decided we needed a vacation from the San Francisco Bay area during this time of Covid, and after looking at many different areas (Santa Fe, Jackson Hole, Scottsdale), we decided to go to Park City. We had vacationed there a few times before, but only in winter. The Knob Hill property looked great, and its location on 10 acres looked terrific (far from crowds), so we rented it for 9 nights, and drove 11 hours with our Golden Retriever and four road bikes to the property. We had an amazing time. We wanted rest, relaxation, a time for reading, doing puzzles, and getting outdoors far from people, and this place allowed us to do all of that, plus we could go into Historic downtown Park City 20 minutes away if we wanted to to wander the art galleries. There were 4 of us total that went (all in the family, all adults). The property is every bit as wonderful as it appears on the VRBO website. We particularly were interested in the chef's kitchen during Covid (since we did not want to eat out), and it did not disappoint. There was even a high end espresso machine, and high end cutlery. We are good cooks, and wanted to fend for ourselves, and the Knob Hill house afforded us that option. There was a Whole Foods, a wonderful bread bakery, and a wine shop only about 7 minutes from the house. We went on many long hikes right from the property (mountain bike trails with few people), which we and our dog loved. We had almost as much fun watching our dog have a good time as we had ourselves. Seriously. One even it was a 7 mile hike--right out the door. We were able to find bike trails for our road bikes where we could bike into Historic Park City from the house, mostly off of the main roads. The beds, the bedding, the towels, and the furniture made it feel like a very high end resort. You know how sometimes a place has mediocre beds and just OK pillows, well this place was not like that at all--it was all WONDERFUL. The gas grill on the patio was so good, I think I cooked the best steaks of my life. Seriously. Of course there was the fantastic hot tub. The owners were very communicative and helpful, and offered us suggestions to make our trip great that we would not have been able to come up with on our own. I highly recommend this place, and I can say without reservation, that we would not hesitate to return and rent the place again. Give it a try--you will not be sorry.

Spacious house on a beautiful property

The house was clean, well stocked and Chantal was so welcoming upon arrival. She showed us the things we needed to know and introduced us to the chickens and cat. My kids loved pretending it was a farm. They collected eggs, visited the horses, and cuddled the cat. The house location is perfect if you want a quiet vacation home with a hot tub, plenty of yard and great neighborhood streets for walking. The house perks include large soaking tubs, comfortable furniture, luxury coffee machine, ice machine and filtered water. We drove into Park City a few times and it was an easy drive. We preferred being away from busy Park City, but close enough to visit a few times. Thanks for everything, Chantal!

Fantastic house for fantastic family reunion

This is a beautiful home in beautiful surroundings for any type of stay! We had a family reunion here and just loved it! The house was very clean, had beautiful furnishings, wonderful beds and bedding, a well-stocked pantry and kitchen, an absolutely beautiful porch with a huge wood-burning fireplace and hottub, and a very usable lawn (we played a lot of croquet)! My amateur chef son found everything he needed in the kitchen to make us some great meals. The views are incredible and we spent lots of time on the porch, day and night. Chantal was a great host and readily available to answer any question. She even had a welcome bottle of sparkling wine and a little food basket. Recommend highly!!

wonderful ranch stay in Park City

We were looking for a Covid summer escape with some room to spread out and this property was ideal. Ten acres with beautiful views and a remarkably relaxing setting. The house is awesome and was more than sufficient for our 5 adults. Lots of modern conveniences and fantastic beds. Outdoor areas were an oasis of peace and we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and spa almost every night. Close enough to Kimball Junction to easily get take-out and only 15 minutes from downtown Park City. Major trail system connects just up the street which was great for evening hikes. Chantal was a dream to work with and we would not hesitate to stay here again. We are still mourning our return home...

Perfect for Our Group

We recently spent a week with family at this property - and it could not have been more perfect. The big yard, the trampoline and chickens were perfect for our 3 year old son. Excellent stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Located just outside of Park City, it made getting to town, Olympic Park and other locations very easy. The home is OUTSTANDING! Great layout, very clean and well appointed. The backyard is large and has amazing views which we enjoyed sitting outside every afternoon and evening. Chantal was an awesome host - super friendly and extremely responsive. I highly recommend staying here and I hope to be back soon!

Could not have asked for a better place for our stay. Kids loved the big yard with all the chickens, horses and trampoline. We ate so many meals outdoors with the incredible view. Pictures do not do it justice! It felt so secluded yet only minutes from all amenities. Highly recommend this house!

A wonderful Trip

We had an amazing time at this wonderful home!

As soon as you walk in, the views took our breath away.. Incredible to see all the majestic mountains aligned in front of us! We spent most of our nights outside by the jacuzzi and the fireplace. In just a few days we saw Elks and deers right on the property! The house was impeccable, the chef kitchen and Miele coffee maker were above all expectations. We especially liked the super comfortable King bed and the adjacent Spa room with the very nice steam shower and the Whirlpool bath. It was a great way to relax and rest at this magical home and we really appreciated the host Chantal who went above our expectations to help us decide where to go in this short time. We started discovering the trails right off the driveway and also the 3 minute drive to shopping made this short vacation the perfect get away. We are already booking our Ski vacation with the kids and cannot wait to be back. Wonderful experience!
