Unit had everything we needed. We enjoyed New Orleans and we will likely visit again next winter break. There were some power problems while we were there but
What a great property. I had a little difficulty/confusion upon checkin, but this was remedied quickly by the host via phone. I walked every morning to the quarter for a conference without difficulty. I will be staying here again. The host was so awesome. I accidentally left a book at the VRBO when I checked out, I finally realized what I had done once I had boarded my plane. I contact the host about this and they said they would ship me a new copy and would read the one I left behind. I now have my book back and feel incredibly grateful for them going above and beyond.
This was a comfortable location close to many of my favorite spots. Short drive to fairgrounds, and private parking included. We are grateful and would love to return.
This place was perfect for my husband and I who were in New Orleans for a few days for a wedding. It has a nice location very close to the street car line. The space is nice and big and clean. The host had excellent communication; I wish all hosts were as good!
Not worth lost vacation time to pack up personal items & meds to call crew in to do their job.
Security swing bar isn't installed correctly- not a prob if the code is changed after every guest. Is it?
No dishwasher as advertised.
AC kept cool except in the kitchen- candy melted & butter liquified.
Plastic spatula wld help protect cookware.
Foam sofabed normally speaks to comfort, not in this case- frame causes pain- pull to floor.
Menstruation stain! Documenting to ascertain health hazard is promptly remedied.
Couch cushions sag in middle.
Poor water pressure throughout. No one mentioned this. After vacay, I read reviews for the listing as a combo rental. It's obviously been an issue for yrs.
Feb '18 Amanda:
"water pressure for the showers was nonexistent".
Response:
"we never had an issue it was a city issue and has been resolved".
May '15 Craig:
"water pressure weak".
Feb '15 Me:
"upper BR could use some plumbing help as water barely trickled out of the sink and shower.Hid-abed upstairs need replacing put on the floor so the bars didn't injure us".
Response:
"plumbing has been fixed and we have a NEW pull out mattress".
It wasn't resolved after Me's stay in '15. It's still a prob. Not a deal breaker but not worthy of 5stars @ Benjamin+Grant+Lincoln+fees.
Owner misunderstood- new mattress won't correct the prob in frame design.
Using hot water while someone showers instantly turns the shower cold. I skipped showers before realizing this quirky remedy.
At slightly more than a trickle, it took too long to do dishes.
Light shines thru LR window all night & seeps into BR thru louvered door. Curtains necessary @ desk too. Real door wld be ideal.
Hwy noise never ends. Box fan on high wld've been dreamy but it only works on low.
Hole in BR windowpane might cause hwy noise. Because the break is up high, it may have gone unnoticed for yrs.
1 remote controls both TVs- inconvenient.
Wacky closet light, wave a hanger, motion sensor will eventually kick on.
Steep stairs! Mobility issues beware.
Difficult backing out of drive when car parks @ neighboring unit.
Fingerprints on every glass surface, dusty baseboards, dirty dishes.
Could be fab w/ a skilled carpenter. Oozes charm & culture, takes u back in time & makes u feel encompassed in all that is NOLA. Comforter wld do beautiful bed justice, pillows flat. Despite water stains, ceiling tiles & baseboards used as crown moulding is a disgrace to the historic building. DIY TV stand is distasteful. I wanted to like the place, somehow I still do but I wldn't stay again. Too many corners were cut.
We loved the apartment and had a great time for my husbands first NOLA trip! We would definitely book with Okeefe Properties again! If you stay here, it’s right down the road from a sandwich shop called Turkey and the Wolf, great food! The trolly stop is not far, and it was a short ride to the Quarter by car as well.
I love bed in a box (Tempur-pedic) that’s all I can say If every bed I slept in was a Tempur-pedic I would always know what I was getting the bed was comfortable it just wasn’t as comfortable as a bed in a box but I still give it high ratings. It was kind a hard to get in at the beginning but once we figured it out it was OK. The cable didn’t work but that wasn’t because of anybody but Cox it had nothing to do with the place to stay. I would stay here again

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
New Orleans is not our cup of tea.
This property is O.K. - the owner was wonderful in answering questions; was very quick. The listing itself is pretty with the brick but the setting, to us, isn't the greatest. Nothing the owner can do but there are a lot of homeless in the area when you go out to walk anywhere. As I said above, we found that New Orleans isn't our "cup of tea" so we might be biased. The owners themselves were really good to work with.

Fantastic location and secure parking
We had a bit of trouble on arrival. It's Door A. Not B, and not the front door. Add in the fact the code we got from this site was incorrect. But with great communication from the owner, we enjoyed the first rate accommodations for NYE. Who Dat!

Great Condo!!!
We had a last minute work trip come up and this house was perfect for are group of 5. So much better than a hotel. The house was very clean and the owner was great. It has a great New Orleans feel to it. We really enjoyed being able to park our car, walk out the front door and take the Street car into town. We are already making plans to come back for a girls weekend since this was a short work trip.

Beautiful, Spotless and Old House Charm!!
A group of my college friends stayed at the house and we LOVED it! It had a lot of charm with the wood and brick floors and even brick walls!! We were happy to have two kitchens as we all liked our midnight snacks! And sitting on the balcony was a plus. Joyce was so very helpful and we will be back.

Amazing house! Loved the view from the balcony!!
We arrived at the home and just loved the view. We would sit on the balcony and have our coffee in the mornings. The listing was so perfect unlike some we have stayed at! The manager helped us with places to visit and eat and I definitely will tell a friend.

Hi! I am a native of Mississippi and lived in New Orleans from 1984 until 1997 and LOVED it !! My husband and I have 3 boys and we live back in our hometown of Ocean Springs, MS. ***Please see my VRBO listing#224993 for reviews on this property.*** "Need a Balcony for Mardi Gras"
Why they chose this property
The Garden District has plenty of places where you can grab a drink late night, but only one where you can hear the world renowned Soul Rebels play their horns on a semi regular basis. Le Bon Temps Roule is a dingy yet fantastic place with a crazy history. There is always great live music playing in front of an eclectic mix of people.
What makes this property unique
With all of the sprawling willows and towering Victorian homes, you can spend hours walking up and down St. Charles eyeing the beauty and snapping pictures. For those who like to know exactly what they're looking at, the Garden District Walking Tour can help provide a history of the old plantation homes, cemeteries and private gardens that make the district famous.
