Beautiful View over the City

This place was so unique, every room was such a treat! We were here with three couples and there was plenty of room for us. We loved watching the sunset from the rooftop terrace! We had a large vehicle and Federico was able to find us suitable parking.

Lovely house in a beautiful neighborhood.

The pictures on the listing don't do this justice. You can tell the hosts put a lot of time and effort turning this house into a home. They were very welcoming on arrival with great communication before check-in. It really felt like a home away from home and we were given plenty of recommendations on places to visit and eat. Parking can be a little tricky, but this is the same in any city or town when you're renting somewhere in a beautiful old neighbourhood. We managed to find spaces less than 3-4 minutes walk whenever we needed to. If you have a car you can easily do day trips to Ronda, Gibraltar, Cadiz and Jerez. There are plenty of options within a minute or two walk from the house to eat and drink and there's a big supermarket only 15 minutes walk away. We had an absolutely lovely time here.

We loved the house and Fernando and Ana were charming and helpful. The parking is really complicated

The house has plenty of character. The rooms are quirky and we were very comfortable. I am sure it can get very cold and is very musty if you have breathing issues. A & F greeted us andwere very attentive by text after that. We had a little trouble with the iron as it had plastic stuck all over it and we had to iron for a wedding. All is well that ends well and I managed to clean it which took a while. The fireplace was lit when we arrived which gave the house a lovely wood smell and dried it out a little. There is plenty of hot water for showers and the the bath would be amazing if one has the time to indulge. A shame there is no WiFi which was a problem for some ... luckily I had my nearest and dearest with me but these days it really is a must. Do not be put off that it sleeps 7... it would actually be lovely for two adults. I loved the idea of the roof terrace but a bit of an ordeal dragging wine and tapas up there. Good for drying washing tho’ All in all a lovely stay

Den bedste beliggenhed i San Roqui!

Fantastisk sted at bo, gode værelser og lækker terrasse! Vigtigt at være opmærksom på mange trapper i huset, er du dårligt gående er dette sted ikke et godt valg. Vi, 3 personer i hver vores værelse nød opholdet, nød køkken faciliteter og bareværelser. Beliggenhed er forrygende, stort set på toppen af San Roque! Omgivet af den smukkeste by og lækre tapas restauranter samt overraskende god kinesisk restaurant. Kan klart anbefales!

San Roque

Comfortable and quaint house in a fantastic location in a lovely town. Ana and Federico were welcoming and thoughtful. I would definitely return to San Roque next time I travel to that part of the world.

Gran lugar en todos los aspectos por ubicación y por estar muy bien equipada.

La casa nos ha encantado. Situada en el centro del pueblo. Muy bien equipada en todos los sentidos, tanto de cocina, baño, lectura, música. Amazing house with Old World charm

From the time of booking, Ana and Federico were perfect hosts with instant communication. When we arrived, Ana provided a complete tour from showing us how to use the washer to where to get groceries. She is charming and sweet and couldn't have been a better host. As for the house, it is a beautiful and unique. It has so much character that it will amaze you. It is three levels which wouldn't be a challenge, but we have two children under 6. The stairs and bedrooms on each level was a challenge given their age but we made it work. Other than that, the home has all the amenities like home. Parking after 10pm each night was difficult on the street in front of the house. However, earlier than that, we were able to find a spot nearby on a side street. The roads are narrow and hilly but that is all part of San Roque's beauty. I loved the view from the mirador. A supermarket Mercadona is just down the hill which is convenient. Great location close to Gibraltar, Algeciras, Estepona, etc. Highly recommend this property and the hosts are wonderful. Hope to come back soon!

Amazing house with Old World charm

Ana is a gem and the communication is instant with both she and her husband, Federico. Ana walked me through the entire house from how to run the washer to where to get groceries. The house itself is three levels, which was a challenge with our two children under 6 given all of the steps. The nice part is the master bedroom is spacious with lots of dressers and empty closets. It also has air conditioning, a rare find in southern Spain. The downstairs was perfect with a large, fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room with TV. Parking in San Roque was a rare find after 10pm, earlier than that you can find a spot on the house's street. The streets are narrow and hilly, but that's part of the beauty of San Roque. Ana and Federico are amazing hosts and we highly recommend the property. You are sure to never find a house so unique and charming!

Casa para recomendar.

Hola ..somos una pareja que ha disfrutado unos dias en esta fantastica casa..limpia , ordenada , decorada con gusto y funcional..esta todo como lo describe el propietario, ,,,de Federico ,decir que es superatento , desde el primer momento hasta el ultimo..te da la confianza y seriedad que estas esperando -al menos yo lo valoro bastante-.....la casa esta en el casco historico de San Roque, con facilidad de aparcamiento cerca de la misma. Tambien cercanos , bares y restaurantes tipicos.dignos de visitar..por la zona no se pueden perder Jimena y Castellar de la frontera , Gibraltar ..Algeciras etc...no dudare en recomendar a mis amigos y familiares . Beautiful house with very personal atmosphere

In this house with a lot of history we we were warmly welcomed by Frederico who also gave us a quick tour of the town center. The house is beautiful and we felt realy at home. Ever wondered how it is to live behind those brown doors of one of the white houses in the small streets of the Spanisch villages up in the mountains/ well here is your chance! We loved our small week here, enjoyed our caffees at the towns cafes just 2 minutes away, became friends with the shopkeeper around the corner and did not want to leave!There is an open fire place, a terrace on the roof, Gibraltar at 20 minutes, Tarifa at 50, Malta at somewhat more then an hour!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in einem gemütlich eingerichteten Haus. Die Betreuung durch die Vermieter war perfekt. Sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend aber nicht aufdringlich. Man wohnt Mitten im Ort und geniest am Abend den Wein auf der Dachterrasse mit Blick auf den Kirchturm. Die Ausflugsmöglichkeiten sind sehr vielseitig (Tarifa, Gibraltar, Malaga, Ronda, Tanger), selbst am Ort ist eine sehr interessante Ausgrabung. Hier wird einem nicht langweilig. Ansonsten geht man einfach an den Strand. Alles in Allem sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Jutta und Stefan
