This was one of the best vrbos I've stayed in with attention to things like lamps on night tables so you can read in bed, power bars so there are enough places to plug in phones and computers, pots and pans so we could actually cook.
Great house. Super responsive host. House was clean with plenty of supplies and extra bedding, etc. Construction in the neighborhood was somewhat intrusive, but Wendy was completely open about it in advance. We enjoyed very much and would stay again.
Very well equipped and incredibly comfortable. Wendy was lovely, really helpful and proactive. Great neighborhood. Five stars and would return in a heartbeat!
I stayed here during Super Bowl week. It was in a safe neighborhood and in a great location which was close to everything. The house was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely rent again.
Wonderfully set up and spacious home. Really enjoyed the neighborhood - quiet and walkable. Near Tulane and close to restaurants. Easy uber to the french quarter. Highly recommend!
This home has plenty of room and a great location. Host is always available and very friendly. The home is stocked with just about anything you would need. She even went out of her way to drive a pair of earrings I left behind to my daughter in law. We love staying here when we come to visit our granddaughter.
I am a native New Orleanian. Moved away to Michigan after college where kids were born and raised. Spent Christmas together as a family. Great amenities, neighborhood and location.
This is the best VRBO I have ever stayed in! The place was very clean and comfortable, and had every amenity one could want from the basics of soap/shampoo/conditioner to extra papertowel, toilet paper, sun screen to coffee, coffee filters, etc etc. The location is great - walking distance to coffee shops and Tulane-LSU. I would definitely stay here again. Wendy was also readily available and helpful.
This is a very comfortable 3br/2ba with a nice kitchen, dining room, and living room.
It is very convenient in the Carrollton area near a bunch of restaurants and Uptown.
The hosts/owners are very responsive and nice. They provided breakfast (eggs and biscuits in the fridge) and milk for your coffee and a few other nice, thoughtful touches.
5/5 will stay again.
The host Wendy was wonderful and easy to communicate with. Her home has everything you could possibly need. She even had breakfast food already in fridge. The bathrooms were also well stocked. Great location, we walked everywhere and it was close to the street car for downtown travel. Neighborhood was nice, safe and quiet. We have family here and will definitely stay here again.
Thank you Wendy for the opportunity to share your home. We attended our son's Graduate School commencement. The home was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed some of the local eateries and coffee shops in addition to a quick hop to the Quarter. Thanks again.......

Thank YOU for being fantastic guests! You're welcome back anytime :)
Great place to stay and great owner. Wendy was very helpful. Streetcar stop was close by. Kitchen was well stocked. Streets are very narrow and bumpy. Can hear trucks rattle through the neighborhood at very early hours.

Thank you, Julie! I'm SO pleased you enjoyed your stay. Yes, most of the streets in New Orleans are narrow and bumpy, being such an old city. We like to think that the city is so charming, we just overlook such imperfections! LOL
Wendy’s and Tom’s (and Violet’s)home is perfect for a family vacation. It easily accommodated our three adult sons and us, and was stocked with everything you could need (even breakfast for the first morning). Walking distance to the street car and cute restaraunts, as well as an easy uber to the French Quarter. Great for running as there is a beautiful park nearby. Wendy and Tom were so helpful and kind, and had excellent recommendations. Don’t miss dba!!! Thanks for a fabulous stay. See you next year.

Beautiful home close to the streetcar
Wendy was the best hostess we could have imagined. She was thoughtful and considerate and provided us with great information about the area! The property is a short walk to the streetcar and provided a beautiful space close enough to be convenient and far enough away to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere in the evening. The beds we're super cozy and the house was well stocked with those thoughtful touches that make any trip just a bit more special! Thank you Wendy and Tom for making our first NOLA trip memorable! We will definitely be back when we return to the city.

Thank you, Marcy! You, Ray, and your friends were FANTASTIC guests. Thank you for being so kind, and so respectful of our home. We are so pleased that you all had a great stay and a memorable visit. We'd love to host you all again in the future!
We chose this property due to its proximity to Tulane/Loyola and could not have chosen better. The house is exactly as pictured and pristinely clean. Our host was very welcoming and made everything easy--even supplying snacks and breakfast items! The neighborhood is residential and quiet, but close enough to grocery stores and restaurants that it was very convenient. And less than a 10 minute drive to Loyola, which was perfect for us. We'll be back!
The house was so cute and just as described in the listing. The Owner was so helpful when I reached out for questions during our stay. She had snacks and little extras that I had not expected. We had come to town for my cousin’s wedding.it was myself, my mom, my Aunt and my three children, twins 12 and a 14 year old. I would definitely stay there again,
Property was as described in listing and suited us well for our stay. Host was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Location was great, home very clean and comfortable, and quiet.
Well equipped and met all our needs. Thank you to host.
Property was clean and nicely appointed, great location. Host Wendy was great with communications. Would stay again. Thank you, Matt

About the host
Hosted by Wendy
I am a native New Orleanian, with French Louisiana heritage that dates back to 1720--that's before the Louisiana Purchase! I have lived here my entire life, except for a few years when I lived in San Francisco and when I worked in national parks. My love for this city runs deep--there's truly nowhere else like it. My hometown's unique culture, art, and architecture is a rich source of inspiration for me as a designer.
My fiancé Tom made New Orleans his home 25 years ago, and around here that qualifies him as a "local." Tom is the owner/creative director of one of the most authentic live local music clubs in New Orleans, called D.B.A., which is located on world-famous Frenchmen St. If you love experiencing live local and regional music, you should definitely check out D.B.A.
We both love music, art, and food, and we love celebrating the unique cultures and traditions of New Orleans and Louisiana. Did I mention FOOD?! New Orleans has world-class cuisine at every price level. Just let us know what you're looking for, and we'll be happy to offer suggestions, as we strive to make your visit to New Orleans an unforgettable one!
