Fantastic spot!
My family & I had a wonderful time the Lodge on Leiter! It was fully equipped, clean, lots of things to do to keep us all entertained. We plan to come back soon!
My girlfriend and I 2 other couples were able to make this place home for a ski trip to Cooper & Copper over the NYE holiday. It fit us all comfortably, with plenty of space to relax and unwind after long days on the mountain. Couldn’t recommend this stay more to a group like ours or a family. Leadville is a charming town, and we felt right at home here.
I don’t often give reviews but wanted to really share how great this place was. They provide so many things you wouldn’t think of and the place is cute and great.
Such a great property! Super spacious and modern, stocked kitchen and amenities. Spent a day at Tennessee Pass Nordic Center and one at Ski Cooper, amazing powder day. Host was super generous when we needed to stay an extra night due to the storm. Will definitely request to stay again. Lovely space!
This is hands down the best VRBO we have ever stayed at! It was SO clean and all the little extra amenities really stood out! And we loved the hot tub (and the heated mats out to it!). The robes, special hot tub towels, games, coffee bar, beverage cooler, mouthwash, laundry supplies, the wall kiosk with property info/restaurants are just a few of the extras we really appreciated! I will say the tv/wifi was not quite up to par but not enough to keep us from coming back!
We really loved this place. House was great, two main rooms (one ensuite and one larger room with bath next to it) worked great for a couple and another couple with a toddler. We also had 2 dogs and the outdoor space was great. Renee and Amber really nailed the small touches, towels, coffee, well stocked, well labeled. Note there is not a dishwasher, but the sink setup works well enough to not miss it much. We’ll be back next year!

Thank you, Anna! We are so glad you loved your stay and all that our home offers. We are constantly upgrading it to make it even more comfortable for guests and really hope to add a dishwasher someday. (we did however add a disposal) Unfortunately it would require us to remove the awesome antique sink. :( Still pondering that...
See you next time!

We love staying in Leadville instead of Summit County. The drive back over into Frisco is 30 minutes, but without the chaos.
The house is lovely. The kitchen is well equipped with quality pots/pans and knives. The BBQ grill was super clean and worked great. The backyard is a lovely place to hang out with family in the evenings and unwind from the day. Hot tub was a welcome end of the day.
Beds were very comfortable. The coffee bar was well stocked for the mornings. The beer fridge available upon check in was a winner, especially after the tortuous friday afternoon I70 shuffle. Just replace what you take.
The neighborhood is very quiet
A quality place to stay! We would book again
From the moment we arrived I knew we made an excellent choice to stay here. The location is just a couple blocks from downtown so walking to eat or shop is simple and easy. I brought my kids (15 & 13) from the east coast to experience "real" skiing and we certainly were not disappointed when we arrived to 12" of fresh powder at Cooper Mt - just 15min away. The host even has someone who shoveled the porch and walkways. Inside has everything- adorable local artwork, all the appliances you can think of like a kettle to boil water for either the french press with fresh coffee in the grinder or the assortment of teas, pop corn, and even a beer cooler stocked so you can crack open a cold beverage before you have a chance to make it to the store. The hot tub was exactly what we wanted after a long day on the slopes and the included robes made us feel like we were at the Four Seasons. The house has great flow for a 3 bedroom 2 bath giving everyone space to spread out. The rooms are all generous sized with great beds, excellent linen, and plenty of pillows. It felt clean and fresh, not like other rentals I've stayed at with mismatched linens and towels making you wonder how old they were and where they came from. Everything here felt new and purposeful. Other nice touches were things like extra paper goods and toiletries so you don't have to worry about that first roll of paper towels or shampoo. I would definitely recommend it. I'm already thinking of coming back in the summer.

Thank you so much, Adam, for this thoughtful review. You had exactly the experience we hope all our guests will have in our home. This was my home before it was an Airbnb, and we have tried to maintain all the “at home” Leadville local vibes- from the robes to the art to the beer cooler. :). We’d love to have you and the family back for another ski adventure, so please stay in touch with Big Buckle Mountain Homes! ~ Renee
What a great house in fun Leadville! Amazing accommodating owners. We had six adults and our two large doodles. What a perfect stay. The house is so adorable, clean, roomy, and was stocked perfectly. Thanks Amber and Renee!!
