About this property
Welcome to Hillside House! An 18th-century Country House set within approximately 14 acres of privat
The ground floor of Hillside House features two spacious living rooms: a grand drawing room with bay window and wood-burning stove, and a light, comfortable family TV room also with a stove.
At the heart of the house is the breakfasting kitchen with granite worktops, island and AGA, opening through to the formal dining room. Additional ground-floor rooms include a utility room, boot room with laundry, and a cloakroom with WC. A bright sunroom leads directly to an enclosed walled garden, ideal for children and dogs.
Upstairs are six flexible bedrooms arranged across two floors, including two family rooms with additional singles. All bedrooms enjoy garden and woodland views. A bathroom with a freestanding bath and shower, with two additional shower rooms, serve the upper floors.
The former Maid’s Quarters in the East Wing provide an additional bedroom with en-suite shower room and private sitting room/office — perfect for multigenerational stays or guests seeking extra privacy.
Outdoors, Hillside House offers extensive landscaped grounds, interlinked lawns, woodland paths and far-reaching valley views. A hot tub, BBQ hut and outdoor seating areas make this a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the countryside.
The nearby villages of Powmill, Saline and Dollar provide local amenities, while Edinburgh, Glasgow and major road/rail links are easily accessible, making this a unique and private rural escape.
