Absolutely gorgeous

We stayed here for 5 nights with our families for our elopement in Scotland and everything was perfect. The house itself was so stunning and the surrounding areas were so fun to explore. I would recommend staying here time and time again!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay!

We gathered 19 family and friends for five nights prior to my daughter's wedding and had a fabulous time. The accommodations made our group feel rather royal and the location is excellent. Many of group did their own day excursions to Edinburgh, Stirling, Dunfermline and St. Andrews and we all compared notes over dinner and drinks each evening. We had a wonderful BBQ event in the garden and the hot tub was also a welcome respite after a long day of golf! Everyone loved Balmule House!

The perfect blend of professional service, romantic atmosphere and home comforts.

Franc and his staff were amazing. They were there for anything we needed, but left us to enjoy the house as if it was our home. Their professionalism was first class and the standard and quality of decor, furnishings and food was outstanding. Would thoroughly recommend this venue for a wedding.

I could not have wished for a more magical stay at Balmule House!

The house is magnificent, the walled garden, greenhouse and surrounding areas are breathtaking and the view beyond is just beautifully serene. But I believe what truly made the stay memorable is Franc, Charlene and the rest of the lovely staff making the magic happen! They were so warm, kind, accommodating and just knew how to handle everything pertaining to our wedding and stay like true pros. Would love love love to visit again!

We love staying at Balmule...it's become our home away from home.

The house, gardens, greenhouse and walking areas make for a great retreat and have allowed us to host some special events on the grounds. The layout of the rooms, proximity to EDI and the local accommodations make it perfect for our annual trips.

Amazing house and amazing team

We had a fantastic stay at Balmule House. The house was spotless, spacious and perfect for our group of 20, with plenty of room for everyone. Colin was very responsive via text throughout, and Franc and the team were so accommodating before and during our stay. It was the ideal setting for our Traitors-themed weekend. We can’t wait to book again!

From the moment we looked around Balmule House and met Franc, we knew that we had found the most perfect wedding venue. Franc was outstanding with clear communication and made us feel so welcome. He always made us feel at ease and we had full confidence and trust that our wedding weekend would be well organised and run smoothly. The Balmule team done an amazing job. A truly gorgeous pricate house, furnished to high spec, and brilliant for big group events.

This was the fourth time we have visited, eacch time for a family gathering. House extremenly comfortable, with lovely bedrooms, big dining room and two sitting rooms.

Simply put I just “Loved it”

It felt luxurious & at the same time homely. Top quality furnishings & artwork. Kitchen was very well equipped. Loved that there were plenty of squishy sofas in a choice of lounges to relax in. Bedrooms were top drawer with comfortable beds & nice linen.
