We really wanted to like this property, but were so disappointed. We chose it because of its proximity to a small town and the pool. We were using this property as a home base to explore the south of Puglia for 1 week.
Arrived to find there had been flooding in the unit and the tile floors were saturated. No heads up. The "fix" to our problem - rugs everywhere, which worked for 2 days and then we had to walk on wet rugs.. Ugh! There were NO staples.... 1 roll off toilet paper, no dishcloths, no dish towels, no salt, pepper, coffee, sugar. One of two patio chairs was broken. There was a musty smell that was always there.
But probably the worst part was at 4:30 am the roosters on site begin crowing and continue until after 7 am. We could hear them every morning, and we sleep with earplugs!
We have come to realize that ALL Italian pools are very cold, and this one was no exception. The BBQ area was inconvenient, but worked were well and was a welcome change. This property would be better described a hobby farm with its chickens, geese, peacock, dogs,and cats. Definitely not the vacation home experience we were looking forward to.
