the whole home was clean and welcoming. Getting in the gate and house with the codes was easy.Wish there would have been a canoe or something like the other homes. Had to go out in the lake. But it was so nice and quite very enjoyable.
We enjoyed everything about our stay. The condo was roomy, the beds were comfy, but our favorite part was just relaxing on the beautiful deck and watching the deer outside.
I like my accommodations on the nicer side and this was true to those hopes. Floor plan utilizes space very well. Very pleased. Walking out on the balcony faces to the east which is a right angle to the prominent lake view but shows the ridge nicely in the afternoon sun. This location is a nice distance west from Hill City which puts better than normal access to trails - 65in wider to the west and north and less than 65in to the south. Nice find for a place that checks the boxes for me.
Good stay. Very private. The heat exchange had some trouble keeping up so it was chilly in the morning. Nights were in the 20’s when we stayed. Over very nice cozy place.
Loved the location! Super clean with so many amenities. Spent lots of time outside on the deck enjoying the view. Kids loved playing in the yard and down by the water.
We enjoyed our stay. Barb was very quick to help us when we had a small hiccup with our code to get in (thank god for ring doorbell!) When we booked we knew our lodging would be a little bit of a drive from the things we had planned (reptile gardens/bear country), but the drive was very nice and the roads were good! We would recommend/stay here again!
This location was amazing. It was perfect for our family - 6 people, 4 adults and 2 kids, ages 12 and 8. It is a very quiet, peaceful which is nice after a busy day of doing fun things. Everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay was at the condo. The deck is a treat and we spent a lot of time outside. The hosts were easy to work with and communicated quickly. We had a wonderful time and we’d love to stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay! It was perfect for our family and was an easy drive to all the sightseeing attractions of the Black Hills. Everything was very clean, it was wonderful to have the amenities of a full kitchen and the deck had a great view that was relaxing. It was great to have a home base for the week to go back to at the end of each day. I would highly recommend for others to stay here!
We stayed for 4 nights and had everything we really needed. The cell phone reception was "spotty" at best and having one bathroom for 4 adults was a bit challenging, but we made do. The setting was peaceful and quiet. Loved the photographs of the Black Hills area which were displayed throughout the condo. I would definitely recommend it for people who like to stay "off the beaten path" and don't mind a short drive into Hill City for groceries, etc. It is close to major attractions in the Black Hills. Our hostess was quick to reply to all questions and provided us with excellent suggestions.
Quite, wildlife throughput the property. Hot showers for everyone and we had 7 people in our group.
Less than 0.5 mile down the gravel road to trail access. Great for slower, inexperienced riders.
Thank tou

It was nice
We enjoyed the location and stay. The house had some issues. Most of the outlets didn't work (mostly upstairs outlets), the house had a very strong odor of moth balls that just wouldn't go away, the stove heat light was telling us it was on the entire trip which was fine but made us kept second guessing leaving the house without issues. The house did have a lot of stocked items like shampoo/conditioner and kitchen items that was very nice. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous, the house is NOT on the water though. Yiu can barely see the water. The pictures online are misleading. This property is facing trees and woods not water.

For reference the outlets upstairs all work. They are controlled by light switch. Not sure about the moth ball smell. There are no moth balls stored anywhere on the premises. The stove being a glass top there is a setting that warns the top is still warm.
Property was beautiful and well kept. Peace and quiet, stunning views, friendly neighbors. Highly recommend staying here.

Tom and I have owned this unit since the fall of 2011. When the unit is not occupied by guests; we enjoy relaxing at the cabin as well as exploring in the hills, hiking and geocaching. Our favorite time of the year is during the fall. We hope you visit our unit soon!
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the unit when I open the patio door and walked out on the deck. The fact that the deck has a large pine tree in the middle adds to the charm.
