STUNNING VIEWS greet you on arrival. ..and from all rooms in the cottage, the main bedroom balcony, garden, BBQ terrace... ideal for a Romantic retreat but comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests too. Delight in the evening sunsets with a glass of wine on the balcony and be wowed by the magical sparkling lights in the distance as night falls! It will make your stay quite unique and will definitely be something to look forward to at the end of the day!
A short walk from the cottage is Stroud Brewery on the canal, the quirky Felt cafe in the bend of the River Frome, the Remedy (Long table) a sharing food charity, the Ship Inn for a Sunday lunch roast. There is even the Burleigh Court Hotel for a nice evening drink, celebration dinner, even spa.
In the Guests Book for HILLCREST COTTAGE- what our guests say;
"One of those places which stay in your memories for ever",
"Waking up to that 'extra special' view every morning made our hearts sing".
"By far the best cottage we have ever stayed in,"
"All we can say is.. WOW!"
"Such a romantic place, that I proposed and she said yes!"
"So many thoughtful touches, we knew instantly we had made the right choice!"
ABOUT THE COTTAGE
Characterful & stylish with modern conveniences... do look at the photos!
IN SUMMER, throw open all the double doors & allow the space to flow outdoors to the lovely, well tended garden for an Al fresco BBQ on the circular BBQ terrace with uninterrupted views. Take time out for some R&R lounging on the cocoon seat for two, dine al fresco & light the chimenia as the evening cools to extend the outdoor experience.
IN WINTER months cosy up infront of the Cotswold fireplace with log burner for a good read or play some "vintage" games. (the cottage is fully centrally heated with double glazing too)!

DRIVE PARKING
* driveway parking for 1 car
There is driveway parking, outside our cottage next door for one car. We advise guests see each other out of the drive at all times-a slightly high Cotswolds stone wall blocks a clear view of the lane. A second car can park in the lane opposite or in the layby a short walk away, all at the owners risk.
IMPORTANT INFO
We, the owners live next door, & have 2+1 dogs.
If you are at all unsure about dogs, do make us aware before booking, as they maybe sunbathing in the shared driveway.
(I am sorry but we cannot accept your pets at the cottage- ours are not allowed in the cottage either!)
It is important to us that our cottage meets your needs and expectations, for your time away. So having read all the above, please ask if you have questions before Instant Booking and we will happily expand on any information. All we want is for you have the most enjoyable stay!
EATING OUT
The area is spoilt for choice on eating out within 2 or 3 miles. The info folder in the cottage will give you plenty of my ideas locally or I can give you a few of my recommendations to look up before staying.

Tetbury is 20 minutes away, full of antique shops, & Highgrove nearby ( Tetbury woolsack races in May)

About the host
Hosted by Tricia Prince
We love be able share our views with guests and have enjoyed creating a cottage to be a home from home. Our grown up children love coming back and they get to enjoy the cottage too!
We have the 3 dogs with us next door and I love the walks from the doorstep, with occasional stops for coffee or lunch at local eateries. I am a bit of a bargain hunter so do ask if you want to know some local hotspots.

Why they chose this property
Waking up to the STUNNING VIEWS lift your spirits every day!
The wider area is known as the "undiscovered Cotswolds" and when here you will see why. To stay in a welcoming, artisan community with an award winning Farmers Market just a 2 mile canal walk away, local pubs and Stroud Brewery a short walk too , what is there not to like? The 600 acres of NT common land with roaming cows from May to November, among the golfers, and walkers taking a rest stop at Henry VIII's hunting lodge now a popular local pub.
