Gorgeous Stone house on 5 acres with a lake view. Funky and artsy this is not your average rental. Enjoy the views of the lake and the Hills. Close to dozens of music venues for great live music! Tour wineries and breweries, browse the antique markets, eat some great local food. Schiltterbahn, Natural Bridge Caverns, Fiesta Texas. Close to everything the Hill Country has to offer. Fabulous host and relaxing property

All aspects of our stay here were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the quiet and clean house. Our hosts were accommodating and very friendly. We would highly recommend this home and property!

Amazing getaway

This property is amazing! The house is very modern and beautifully decorated. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back. It is quiet and peaceful and you are still in close proximity to San Antonio or Austin.

Nice place

Very comfortable, nice place. The property is well kept and interior pictures are very accurate. You cannot see the lake from the house. It can be seen by hiking up the hill on the property. Owners work hard to make sure everything goes well with rental.

Wonderful Experience

Spent Memorial Day Weekend at this property. Website accurately describes property. Exceptionally clean and amenities were nice. We spent time on Canyon Lake, Guadalupe River and Willie Nelson concert at Whitewater Amphitheatre, and the property was centrally located for easy access. The property owners communicated extremely well. We had an excellent experience and will def stay here again.

Nice quiet home

The house was exactly as described. Very nicely remodeled. We enjoyed the frisbie golf and watching the sunset. The sunset view can best be seen from the RV parking at the top of the property.

Little Stonehouse Cottage

An excellent spot to relax with famIly. Close to Canyon Lake. We wish we had taken our jet skis. Close boat ramp and plenty of space to park a trailer at the property. House was immaculate and very cute. Will definitely return

It was a very nice. The TV situation was a little difficult, but we did okay.

A suggestion might be to have bars by the toilet and in the shower for extra safety and stability. But overall, a very nice experience.

Hill Country Retreat

The property was everything the owner represented it to be. It's a beautiful, quiet setting and the house is nicely appointed. I cut my stay short a few days due to the Coronavirus situation, but I'm looking forward to returning next year.

Canyon Lake Retreat

Perfect Getaway

This house exceeded our expectations. It is perfect! We rented it for 6 nights. The decor and furnishings are beautiful! The beds were so comfortable. We felt like we were at home. The house was very clean. It had all of the amenities we needed. We took our boat as we spent most of our time on Canyon Lake. There was plenty of room to park the boat. The boat ramp was about 3 miles and free boat launch. Basically every box was checked for us and again this house exceeded our expectations. We will definitely rent it again.

Beautiful house & great host

First off let me say this house is adorable and so chic. The home was very clean and had everything you could imagine needing. Great products for you to use. My only things about this home that we did not enjoy was the proximity to the neighbors (including the host’s RV which they stay in beside the property) & the fact that it is listed as sleeping 6. There is an amazing master bedroom with a king bed, a cute guest room with two twin beds, and then a couch. Although the couch could technically sleep 2 it is better suited for one adult person (two kids would be fine). Overall I would stay here again and even every time we visited the area, just with less people!

Nice house

My family and I liked the house and its proximity to everything. The house was updated and very clean. We saw deer, fox, a coyote. The house has a very nice picture window, so we could enjoy the scenery. Our only issue is that we didn't realize the owners would be staying in a camper on the property. The fire pit was close to the camper, so we didn't feel comfortable making a fire and hanging around that area. I wish we would have known that they stay on the property as it might have made a difference in whether we would have rented this house. The owners were not intrusive at all, it's just that we would have preferred the privacy to explore the property and enjoy the fire pit.

This is a perfect property for a Texas Hill Country getaway.

What a perfect week at The Stone House in Canyon Lake. Completely updated with the best of everything. Granite and stainless and a kitchen with all you’ll need to cook in (which we did often). Plenty of cabinet and closet space! Comfy bed with good pillows. Tiled baths! And it was very clean! In the evenings we sat on the patio and watched the deer herd in the back of the property. Then we made use of the gas grill to make dinner. This house is close to so many things. Good restaurants if you want to eat out, shopping close by and of course Canyon Lake. Our favorite thing was hiking the hills. There were some challenging trails appropriate for hiking or mountain biking. Nothing negative to say. We loved it and will be back next year.

Very nice and comfortable house.

House was as advertised. Very clean, neat and up to date. Linens all very nice as were the beds. Really enjoyed the master shower, great water pressure! Saw deer early behind the house. Very private. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Couple of notes, no garage access and must stream through ROKU on TV.

My husband and I wanted a little git-a-way from our busy life for a long weekend. This is wonderful little house in a lovely little neighborhood. The house was spotless and remodeled and decorated beautify. The lot was peaceful and the neighbors were quiet. We saw so many deer in the yard in the mornings and evenings. The location was great, we went to Natural Bridge Caverns and to Gruene. There were plenty of restaurants to eat at in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

WOW!!!! What an amazing weekend we had with such a beautiful property inside and out. I recommend that anyone going to this area get this house. It has the latest of everything inside and is simple with an elegant, yet homey style. The décor is gorgeous with such attention to detail. SUPER CLEAN!!! If you enjoy cooking the kitchen is perfectly equipped. Few of our favorites….huge TV in the living room, comfy throws laying around, amazing bedding in the master bedroom, showers have powerful flow rate, sofa sectional is so comfortable fell asleep on it watching tv, deer roaming the property, beautiful view of hills and lake. If I go to the area again I won’t even look at other rentals. This is the one for me.

Great Getaway House

We had a great time spending the weekend at this property. We went to a concert at Whitewater Amphitheater and the location of the house to the venue was very close. We even drove over to dripping springs during the day and then to Gruene in the evening for dinner. The house has been completely remodeled and has an incredible interior. Great house! Had everything we could have wanted and was close to everything.

My book club went for the weekend and couldn’t have had a better time. The house is great! Everything is done so nicely. We sat outside the first evening and saw two gray foxes running across the front yard! We also saw many deer, an owl and a roadrunner. On top of being a fabulous house, it is very close to everything. Great time! Will definitely return.

Rick and I currently live in Katy. We love to travel and enjoy live music and water sports. We have one son in college and one will be a senior this year. We are on the 1 year countdown to becoming "empty nesters". We found ourselves visiting the hill country so often that we decided to buy a property there, hopefully some day When we have grandkids they will want to come spend time with us at the lake.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a fixer upper with some land and a water view. Not an easy find now that the area around Canyon Lake is so popular. We feel really fortunate that we found this hidden gem.

What makes this property unique

5+ acres that offers lake views and lots of trees. Hike around the property is very relaxing and you can find a quite spot and watch the wildlife, read a book or take a nap.
