Our host was amazing and very helpful when we had questions. This was the cleanest home that I have stayed in and it is beautifully updated. We enjoyed having a a gorgeous kitchen to cook in, being able to have a fire in the fireplace, and my niece did some sledding on the side hill. We saw deer every morning out back. They had everything we needed to be comfortable while we visited Minnesota. I would absolutely stay here again.
All in all our stay was comfortable. Pros: Very Clean, beds were comfortable, had everything we needed, primary bathroom was amazing, hosts were welcoming and available. Cons: very musty smelling ( as noted by other reviews ), while the location was ideal for us the access on and off hwy 7 was difficult at times and road noise was noticeable, I don’t recall any mention that access to living area was via a full flight of stairs ( something we’d rather not deal with when traveling and dragging luggage).
Everything was great and as listed except the whirlpool bathtub was broken by the guests before us. All in all a great experience. Would stay there again.
There were 4 of us on a Girls Trip for a long weekend. We came to tour Paisley Park and we also went to Mall of America. This was a perfect location about halfway between the two. The house was super clean, very well furnished, and was perfect for our stay! Great communication with the host. I would definitely stay here again!
This property was perfect for our family of four adults to stay in! It had all the amenities one could think of and the location was quiet, convenient and simple to access. The owners were available when we had questions and were great hosts. We would stay here again, for sure!

Nice place. However tub was non operational. So it’s really a bath and a half. Plus power went out several times on our trip.
Thanks for a great stay! We were visiting family for the 4th of July and this was the perfect place. It was hot and humid but under the shade of the big trees and a slight breeze, we were all very comfortable. There is a new BBQ so the brats, hot dogs and hamburgers were perfect. Super clean and well taken care of place. The dishwasher, bathrooms, washer, dryer were all spotless. Thanks for the great time!

Secluded & Spotless
Located in a very private wooded area, is was calming and natural...we saw deer every morning. The owner was super responsive and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This property is lovely. A few small tons that need attention. Owners were extremely responsive. Home may need some airing out, definite musty smell when first entering. We were there for a Scentsy conference so we’re all about the smell! Bedrooms were very comfortable. Kitchen is a dream. Dining room table is so unique. Could have stared at it for hours. I want the fridge in my own house! The outdoor space is tranquil. The fire pit is awesome! The shower in the master is also amazing. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
First impression. Outside of house has not been updated much.
Upon seeing the outside of the house, I was very worried about the inside of the house.
The house has not been finished being updated.
While we were there, we were advised a contractor would be working on the outside concrete steps and to move our cars away from the house. It was muddy where we had to park. We then had to enter the house through the garage. The lower level entry was in dire need of a dehumidifier, to help control the overwhelming musty smell. Normal for MN.
Once upstairs, a lot of work has been completed to update the kitchen. The updated living room floor was beautiful. The rest of the house was not as updated.
It was an eclectic mix of antiques, Asian, and homey items. I enjoyed studying the antique furniture.
The owner was communicative. The contractor working on the house upset my friends but it really did not interfere with our plans.
I wish the homeowners all the best. We had more room than if 4 adults were to share a hotel room. . The air conditioner upstairs worked great. We didn’t spend time in the yard because of mosquitoes, which are just a part of summer in MN. Bug spray was provided.
Having WiFi was great.
The neighborhood is slightly difficult to access and depart from due to one-way traffic.
We saw a doe and 2 baby deer in the yard.
The home is a pleasantly unique MN home. The hosts have provided much attention to theirs guests' needs and are responsive to questions. I enjoyed the large open floor plan and felt comfortable and welcomed. I highly recommend this property for your next stay in MN.
Nice house, plenty of space, comfotable. Great communication from the owner. * After a small storm, someone shoveled and cleaned off our cars in the morning. I would book again.
This was a nice home nestled on a wooded lot with a big firepit outside and two wood burning fireplaces Indoors. The house was very clean and beautiful. The mid-century decor really gave it a luxurious feel. We go TO MPLS to visit family and this was the perfect "base camp"
The property was clean, beautifully decorated and the grounds are very private. . The owner was in contact to answer questions and see if we needed anything. The kitchen is well stocked and there is chest of games and playing cards. We had everything we needed. FYI I would not recommend this home for a group with little children as there is no way to block off the entrance stairs.
This is a well kept, remodeled house. The kitchen is amazing and well-stocked. There is plenty of the add-on type stuff so you won't need to rebuy everything to cook. Plenty of room to stretch out.
A few minor negatives:
the listing says the apartment downstairs is empty; it is not, the owner's son lives there, and you share an entrance. It is not a problem, he is very quiet, we barely knew he was there.
The jacuzzi jets do not work.
The house is on a one-way road, so there are U-turns wherever you go.
None of these should change your mind, just be ready.

Tale of two cities
The interior accommodations were nice.
The family member living downstairs was no problem. It’s in a great part of town,
but the access off the highway can be difficult. The exterior of the home needs a lot of work. I’d give it a C.

We have provided many upgrades to the property over the course of the last year. Our focus has been primarily on the interior comforts. We have begun updating the exterior curb appeal and it is priced accordingly. This is a beautiful home, with beautiful furnishings and is an absolute bargain.
Easy access to places. The exterior of the property surprised us as we drove up. It is fairly shabby & a gd scrub to the eave spouts etc would brighten it up. The interior remodels were great. Mixture of old & new decor. Inside was very clean & loved the big windows for view.

We have been putting extensive improvements into this home and it has many upgrades. The interior is an amazing peaceful getaway. The backyard is newly landscape with a new deck and BBQ grill. We are now focusing on the front curb appeal. The home is priced accordingly.
Convenient Twin Cities location - does and fawns in the wooded yard!
A very comfortable home decorated with lots of antique furnishings. Modern and functional kitchen loaded with stapes for cooking and eating in.
While it never was a problem, and would never be one, there is an occupied apartment on the lower level of the house. The house and apartment are entered through the same door, leading to a foyer on the lower level, with stairs up to the rental space from there.
Very attentive, nice landlord. The lower tenant is his son, also a very nice guy.
Location is very private and there is good outdoor space for cookouts or evening socials.
Would recommend this property to families, or couples. Room for two couples and/or a few children

Great weekend
Great place. Exactly as described. Somewhat secluded but very close to everywhere. Only complaint was that the house (especially the floors) were cold, eventhough the thermostat was at 72. Great place, but bring your slippers.
