Our property is a legally permitted vacation rental as required by Charleston City ordinance. Our certificate of operational number is OP2024-05539

One block from the heart of the entertainment district of Upper King Street. You will know you are in the South when you are greeted by 6 large palms, a live oak, and a large sycamore tree at the front of the property.

The property consists of three rental units. Unit A which is the bottom floor of the historic house (this listing), Unit B which is the top floor of the historic house and Unit C which is the house in the back of the property.

When you step into Unit A off of the front porch, you will enter the living space. This area features an original fireplace and historic hardwood floors. The home was fully restored and renovated to provide Charleston charm with modern convenience.

This is a lovely home. Bright and open kitchen/living area. Very clean and well appointed. Comfortable bedrooms. The sound system is a nice touch. This property is in the perfect location for a downtown Charleston experience. Within a block you can grab a coffee and pastry, enjoy an early evening cocktail and enjoy boutique shopping in the afternoon. All without walking the two blocks to King Street! Miki and husband Chuck moved to the Charleston area 15 years ago. We both thoroughly enjoy spending time downtown and around the Charleston area.

Chuck is originally from Florida and Miki from West Virginia. Previously to moving to Charleston, they spent 20 years in the Washington, DC area. Miki in the health care marketing and management industry and Chuck in the printing and marketing solutions industry. Wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the Metro area and the colder weather, we chose Charleston!

Since moving here we have been involved with restoring , renovating and managing downtown properties.

We love walking around the city looking at the various architectural designs of historical buildings, eating at the amazing restaurants, or taking in a festival or special event. On warm days you can find us on our boat with our two sons Ryan and Alec or at the beach. And of course, there are the Citadel football and basketball games. which we can't miss since Chuck was a graduate of the Citadel.

We fall deeper in love with Charleston every day and want you to experience the charm of the city while staying at St. Philip Place. Our renovation of this property was a labor of love and our goal was to transform it into a cozy comfortable home with modern appliances while still maintaining the historical Charleston feel.

We have smart TV's compatible with airplay and video streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, HBO etc. Need higher security when using your laptop or iPhone? Our place has CAT 6 wiring which allows you to plug-in verses using the wireless network giving you added security, reliability, and speed.
