Great stay

Charming little cottage, loved the property. It is very serene and quiet. The kitchen had several small appliances which made cooking easy. Close to town but very private and peaceful setting. Would definitely return.

Deer Cottage

This is our third visit to Deer Cottage and it is perfect for visiting with family over here as we are from Florida. Cottage is well stocked and hosts very accommodating. WILL be back!

Deer Cottage

Cottage was as advertised including deer. Also had some young turkeys wander by. Clean and well stocked, we had everything needed as we visited family close by. WILL be back!

This may be the most restful, lovely weekend my husband and I have had in a long time and this sweet, little gem of a cottage was the crown jewel in our getaway. The cabin is next door to the hostess who welcomed us and then left us to our privacy. We had everything we needed with some treats included. The property sits at the end of a rural road nestled in a wooded sanctuary. The picture window in the cottage’s living room looks out over the woods, some outdoor chairs and grill, and a gazebo with a wonderful double hammock. We saw wild turkeys and a fat little brown bunny. Perfect peacefulness. And the cottage is located within minutes of Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville, and Abita Springs (not to mention New Orleans about an hour away). We definitely plan to return and secretly hope no one else will discover it so it can just be our own private getaway. Lol! Thank you, Wendy, for making our stay so enjoyable.

A delightful cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the "cottage." It was a delightful stay, you get the impression that you are in the woods, but you are minutes away from shopping, restaurants, etc. The cottage itself was perfect for two adults, and roomy enough that if we wanted separation we had it. It was extremely cool during our visit so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor amenities, but we will definitely be back for another visit. I highly recommend the cottage.

It is in historic Madisonville. Close to restaurants and shops. It is across the causeway from New Orleans. The area is very safe.

Property has old trees and is situated at dead end of quiet street. We have deer who live on propertiy.
