We stayed here for a reading retreat and could not have picked a more perfect place! The house is comfortable, the porch is great for hanging out and the area is so peaceful. Communication with the hosts was easy and quick.
Great little house in the back of the farm. House is quaint and homely. Host does all they can to make you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s or family's house. Quiet and calm away from city noise but not far from anything you need. Bit of drive to get into New Orleans if that is your reason but we still made it easily a few times. The rest we enjoyed porch time, relax time, and fixed a couple small meals there.
Gorgeous property. Kindest owners. I was pleasantly surprised with all that was readily available to use in the house. Absolutely loved the fresh eggs to enjoy thanks to the chickens on the property. I definitely plan to go back. The pictures aren’t near as beautiful as the actual place!

Thank you! So happy that you all enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again.
We had a wonderful stay here and there was excellent opportunities for enrichment such as feeding the goats and looking at the wonderful property. One of us was convalescing during the visit and they were very helpful making sure we had everything that we needed.
Great country setting with bonus of being able to meet horses, donkey and chickens with grandchildren. Great porch and fire pit area to enjoy outdoor and nighttime.
This hostess was awesome. Welcoming me personally upon arrival and offering to show me the property. They allowed me the privacy that I needed while letting me know they were there for anything I might need. The property itself is beautiful and so peaceful. I will definitely return in the future.

Kathy was wonderful and we would definitely rent to her in the future!
Angie was so welcoming and easy to work with. The property is beautiful and my children loved feeding the horses and fishing in the pond. The house was the perfect size for our family. Would gladly stay here again.
Our stay was amazing! The hosts were so kind. The property was absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed our stay so much! Definitely would book again in the future!
Absolutely wonderful stay at this peaceful hideaway. The Porch House looks just like the photos-better actually in person. Angie met me and showed me around. A bottle of wine, coffee, and some small snacks were nicely presented.
Stayed at the property while my daughter was competing at a horse trial at LEC. Perfect location and owners were amazing. Have already booked again for future horse shows!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the porch house. That porch.... is LIFE. I can't say how comfy the couch is because we never sat on it... you could not pull us away from that porch! Everything was lovely and we can't wait to go back and visit the horses.

We went for a girls weekend and it was just what we were looking for! We had things planned but ended up mostly staying on the front porch the whole weekend! So beautiful and relaxing and peaceful. We recharged our “batteries” and plan to be back! Thank you!

Loved our stay! The property is gourgeous and so peaceful! The house is adorable. Everything was in perfect condition, very clean. Had alot of unexpected amenities. Loved sitting by the fire pit under the lights at night. Felt safe on the porperty with hosts family nearby, but also felt like we were given our own space. Angie was super friendly and welcoming, and let us know she was there if we needed anything. Loved the detailed directions and information given! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to booking again when we have time to spend on the property and get a tour of the place. 😊

I don’t think I can explain how wonderful the porch house is and how welcoming Angie and Jamie are. We felt right at home and enjoyed our time together as a family. The home is beautifully decorated, and has everything you need for your trip including a washer and dryer. The landscape is lovely; we spent most of our time enjoying the porch, horses, and fishing in the pond. The kids and my husband enjoyed catching small perch and bass while I sat back and watched with a glass of wine. The town is friendly offering lots of things to enjoy nearby. We never felt like the space was shared by anyone but us and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together as a family.
My husband and I had a delightful stay at The Porch House while visiting Folsom for a wedding. The decor was charming and festive, making the space feel warm and inviting. We loved the thoughtful touches throughout the house, which truly made it feel like a home away from home. The animals were precious and the grounds were absolutely stunning, providing a peaceful atmosphere. Our hosts were incredibly hospitable and communicative, ensuring we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. They even accommodated a special request for us, which made a HUGE difference in our itinerary. We’re so grateful for our experience and hope to one day return for a longer visit to fully enjoy this beautiful property! Highly recommend!

I was in town visiting family and needed a comfortable place to stay—and this sweet cottage on the horse farm was absolutely perfect. It was just a 20-minute drive to Covington, making it super convenient, yet peaceful and private. The cottage was spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and felt incredibly safe and welcoming. The bed and bedding were so cozy, I slept like a dream.Jamie, Angie, and Nick were warm and kind hosts. I even brought my young niece to visit the horses and donkeys, which was such a treat. I loved sipping my morning coffee while listening to the roosters and watching the horses roam. In the evenings, winding down with tea under the twinkle of patio lights was the perfect end to the day.Although I wasn’t around much during the day, I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, cozy escape. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay!
