About this property

Great house steps to the lakefront!

My husband and I would like to welcome everyone to our relaxing cottage in the heart of Old Mandeville. You will love it and not want to leave.

Our cottage is only steps away from Mandeville’s Beautiful Lakefront which is perfect to take a leisurely walk, jog, ride bikes or just sit and enjoy the views and sunsets. There are children’s playgrounds on both ends and a splash pad at the end near the cottage.

The city boat launch is across the street at the harbor for those who want to bring a boat or book a fishing trip with Wicked Fishing Charters which leaves from the launch. They also offer sunset cruises and kayak rentals.

The Tammany Trace Bike Trail is right down the street. It is originally a corridor for the Illinois Central Railroad and now is Louisiana’s first rail-trail. The bike path runs from Downtown Covington to Slidell.

Old Mandeville offers great restaurants, pubs, gift shops, Saturday outdoor markets, churches and so much more, all within walking and biking distance.

New Orleans' French Quarter, Audubon Zoo, Aquariums of the America, The National WWII Museum, even Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras are less then 45 minutes away!

Just want to get away and have a relaxing time? There is no better place than on the large porch where a nice breeze is always blowing from the lake. Enjoy your coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. Of course, this is our Favorite place!

We enjoy vacationing in quaint little towns with our friends so we decided to purchase a house in our home town to share with others. We can't wait for you to visit. There is no place like Old Mandeville!

Amazing Location
We highly recommend staying here! It was easy to walk to the lake, parks and restaurants. It was also an easy drive into New Orleans. We are already talking about wanting to visit again. Thanks for the great stay!

Cute house in great area
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this cottage in Mandeville. It is only 2 blocks from the lake and we enjoyed our daily walk along the lakefront. There are many restaurants a short walk/drive away. The town itself is vibrant with a huge market on Saturdays. The town lends itself to being active - there are bike lanes and pedestrians all around. The cottage itself is spacious and well equipped (even had things like laundry detergent and toilet paper included). It was very clean upon arrival. The beds were comforable. The working washer and dryer were a huge bonus for my family of 4. My teenage son slept on the sleep sofa and he found that to be comfortable. This house is perfect for two couples as each family could have a different end of the house making it very private. From the cottage, we took a daytrip to New Orleans, and one to Baton Rouge to tour LSU. We also went to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and a swamp tour south of New Orleans, so I found the location to be close to lots of things. I am not sure if my travels will take me to Louisiana again, but if so, I wouldn't hesitate to rent this cottage again!
