The Moosehead Hideaway is a four-season luxury vacation rental in Maine's majestic wilderness. Moosehead Lake's intricate shoreline of coves, beaches and islands provide a spectacular setting for an endless variety of outdoor activities.

The Moosehead Hideaway is a tastefully decorated custom built 3-bedroom Lindal Cedar Home located 30 feet from the shore of Moosehead Lake. This home offers guests superior scenic lake and mountain views from the comforts of the master-bedroom loft to the private dock. Enjoy long afternoons on the spacious wrap-around deck, or take one of our kayaks or canoe for a trip to the restaurants and shops in downtown Greenville, a picturesque four-season mountain resort town.

The fully-equipped kitchen offers guests every possible amenity needed to cook their favorite gourmet meals. An outdoor Weber charcoal grill is provided, as well as a copper fire-pit for roasting marshmellows while enjoying the sunset on Moosehead Lake.

The open living & dining area offers floor to ceiling window views of the lake, a gas fireplace, and 2 flatscreen TV with YoutubeTV, Netflix, HBO & DVD player.

Enjoy a restful night in the spacious master-bedroom loft-suite with a new pillow top queen bed, sitting/reading area, walk-in closet, private bathroom, and flatscreen TV with YoutubeTV, Netflix, HBO & DVD player.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at this property. It was clean and well-appointed, the location was fabulous. We will definitely be coming back. And communication with the host was excellent. He was very attentive. Overall, a great and wonderful experience.

The lake house was very clean and the view to the lake was fabulous. We didn’t enjoy the lake as much as we wanted due to the weather. It was 60 and very windy so not the best weather to kayak. We’re a family of four with two teenagers so we made it an adventure week. We went salmon fishing, hiked Little Mountain, Mt Kineo and Moxie Falls. The boys found a nice rock to jump from into the water at the falls, and this was a highlight. We also enjoyed a full day of whitewater rafting on the Kennebec- very thrilling, even though this is the easiest river that they operate on. The Stress Free Moose and Dockside were close by for a quick bite to eat. If you want to eat at the cabin, the kitchen was well appointed. The only thing I was surprised about was there were very little supplies, such as shampoo, conditioner, no small amount of laundry soap, etc. It may have stated in the listing, but we rent all the time and usually these are included. It wasn’t a big deal just had to go to the store and stock up. Overall very nice experience. It was very windy for outdoor fires, but we were able to do it once and they have a very nice fire pit with built-in seats to enjoy s’mores from.

What a great place! We had an amazing trip. Lots of stuff to do, even an enjoyable time relaxing. Moosehead Lake is one of our favorite places and having this lakefront property is worth every penny! We can’t wait to come back!

This was a wonderful place. The location is lovely and despite some of the other reviews, we did not experience any noise issues. We especially enjoyed the dock, amazing view, and watching the sea planes take off and land.
