We had a fantastic stay. The house was perfect for our family of four and had everything we needed. It is in a beautiful location close to Southwest Harbor and is a great home base for exploring Acadia.

Thank you for visiting. We LOVED seeing you all enjoying the garden and picnicking outside. And, most especially, your son climbing the old Sour Cherry tree!.
What a fantastic spot! We really liked staying on this side of the island, and the Little House is clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Elena is a great host, and we would very happily stay again.
Charming cottage ideally located near town and hiking trails. Clean, comfortable beds, cozy sitting room with cable tv and a lovely welcome basket. Well stocked kitchen and nice linens. The outdoor areas and small deck look like they would be great in warmer weather for relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanks so much for visiting The Little House, and for the nice review. Both, much appreciated. We are happy that you liked our home base!
All best,
Elena, Terry and Pip
Comfortable, light and airy in nice setting with everything you need to cook in or close enough to walk to SW Harbor restaurants. Nice outdoor space and easy walk up to Main St to catch the Island explorer bus. Great hiking nearby. Hosts very responsive will definitely stay again.
A cozy, comfortable place with an incredibly well-stocked kitchen in terms of supplies for cooking. A great home base for exploring Mt. Desert Island. We loved it.
Kind hosts, beautiful property, and a great town, all minutes from real Acadia hikes or the coffee shop (which even has gluten free whoopie pies). The weather is perfect for hiking, even the kids didn’t complain. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you!!!
We loved our time at The Little House. The location is stunning, it is right by Acadia but also close to the shops and restaurants in Southwest Harbor. We were here for the MDI Marathon and really enjoyed the stay. The house is clean and very cute with everything you'd need.
Beautiful property in a fantastic location! We loved being able to walk to town for breakfast and easy access to all of the sections of Acadia. Elena was a wonderful host, we loved the insider tips. We will definitely be back!
It was such a pleasure to stay at the little house in Southwest Harbor. The house was clean, bright and cheerful. The kitchen was great! We had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We enjoyed the meadow, the deer and watching the sun go down from the porch. We went in to Acadia most days, the short drive is beautiful and relaxing. Bass Harbor Lighthouse sunset was absolutely beautiful. If you go, the lobster bisque at Harbor Table in Southwest Harbor is not to be missed! Staying in Southwest Harbor "quietside" really made our trip. We would definitely love to stay again.
This little cottage is adorable and in a great location.
Although it's off a well-traveled road, it's tucked away in nature. Sitting on the porch and watching the wildlife every morning and evening was a highlight. The kitchen was easy to work in and the bathroom had great water pressure. We really enjoyed our stay.
We've stayed several places around Southwest Harbor, and this was the best. Charming, sunlit house on a quiet lane withing walking distance of town center. Very well appointed kitchen (with professionally sharpened knives!) Comfortable beds and furniture. Beautiful gardens and yard to spend time outdoors. Kind and responsive hosts. Believe the listing! We have already reserved for next year.

Loved the Little House! Great location in Southwest Harbor, lovely garden (lupines were amazing), super clean, comfortable beds, well equipped, and tons of charm! Elena is a wonderful host as well as Pip, the dog! Highly recommend.
Very convenient location in close proximity to Acadia Nat'l
Park sites, Southwest Harbor Main Street and to all of Mount Desert Island. Lovely garden to relax and read after time spent hiking or biking. Pip, the owner's dog, is a friendly added value benefit.
Little house is perfect! Charming, comfortable and had all we needed. The green space is beautiful! It was wonderful to watch the deer in the morning and evening hours. Very peaceful and relaxing space. Highly recommend!
This was a 5 star experience. The house was comfortable, clean and cozy. The decor was so cute. The outdoor space was so inviting. I would rent again in a heartbeat.
Elena, Terry and Pip were great hosts and the Little House is a wonderful place to stay. Easy access to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. After a day spent outdoors, it was nice to come back and be able to relax. The Little house is very peaceful and well kept. We really enjoyed sitting out in the garden area and reading or talking about the day. Wonderful place, great vacation.
