Our stay was exceptional! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the lake our host checked in to ensure our stay was going well. I highly recommend the Isle View Cottages and we will definitely be back again!
We loved how tidy and clean this cottage was, and we loved sitting and looking out at the lake. Great location, I would come back in the summer to enjoy the lake more!
Peace and tranquility for all at the wonderful cottage!
We were very pleased with this adorable and clean cottage. The owner responded quickly to our messages. My children loved the doc area to fish from. Sunsets were amazing! We loved everything about it!
The cottage was clean and as described in the listing. Check-in was a breeze. Loved sitting in the sunroom looking out over the lake. Easy access to explore the surrounding islands and less than an hour drive to Burlington.

Thank you Monique. We look forward to hosting you again.
The cabin is very modern, clean and spacious with great sunset views each of the nights we were there. The fishing dock across the street was very active with fish in the evening. Two medium size walleye were caught and put back. Great stay!
The pictures online dont do it justice! Its so much nicer in person! The only suggestion i have is to get a Keurg coffee maker. It was a lovely experience all in all.
Very clen and comfortable cottage. Everything needed was provided. The view across Lake Champlain was beautiful even on cloudy days. Very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay.
This property looks exactly as listed. It is modern and cozy. Beautiful views of the water. The owner made great recommendations of things to do. He was responsive when we needed help. I would definitely go back.

The cottage was immaculate -- it felt like we were the first people there ever! Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen. House is not right on the water -- you have to cross a rural street and then descend to the Lake, where there are two nice kayaks and a canoe. Pleasant!
Spent a week at Isle View cottage. The property was just as described and immaculate clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The host supplied lists of restaurants in area and places to visit. We were very happy with our choice.
We spent Labor Day weekend here. The location is absolutely beautiful- we loved sitting out on the front deck and watching the sunset over the lake. The cottage was clean and had new, modern fixtures. It served as a great home base for day trips to Montreal and Burlington. We also loved the Alburgh Dunes State Park down the road. David sent really helpful information ahead of time and also stopped by one morning to make sure everything was going well. Overall, we had a really positive experience.
Myself and my 2 sisters, enjoyed our time together at the cottage.
We celebrated my youngest sisters birthday-
Her 76th in fact!!
Given our ages and the distance between our car's and the cottage, we were challenged
By the moving in and out!
However, if you are younger than our ages ( 82-78-76 ) I expect this would not be an issue!!
The cottage was the perfect place for our time together- as sisters!
Great week on the lake. Perfect for family of 4. Simple and comfortable cottage with the essentials. Very clean and well-maintained. Setting on the lake is quite nice.
We had a rainy week but still enjoyed the quiet and the setting. Lake access (short 3-minute walk away) with dock and kayaks is great. Found fossils and had a fire at the lake.
Only suggestion for owner is to figure out better means to share necessary forms as the provided document links do not allow for active links nor ability to copy/paste address from VRBO app.
Highly recommended- will consider for any future trips to area.
I have been known as the “” Princess and the pea” as far as all things have to be perfect for me to be content “.
When traveling this is forever my issue.
Not only did David the owner , answer all my questions- with patience and ease- I found the cottage to be perfect for me. Air quality was excellent and the queen bed was so comfortable that I enquired for all info necessary to purchase a mattress exactly like that for myself.
I have never been able to give an honest review of a 3 when renting before.
This would exceed 5 x2 = a 10.
Cabin #9 was a clean and comfortable home for our Thanksgiving getaway. We were looking for a place that was pet-friendly and the owner was kind enough to accommodate our two cats after I provided some information. We brought a lot of their things from home and they quickly accommodated and loved it, and so did we three humans. The neighborhood around the house was quiet and pleasant and right next to the lake with some great sunset colors across the water in the evening. The living room was nice to relax in with lots of windows to view the lake and deck. In the late fall, the area is not too exciting and at least a 30-60 minute drive to any attractions (small convenient grocery store/gas station with excellent homemade soups right nearby, though), but it looks like it would be a fun place in the summer and the sunsets might be in a better position too.
I had two complaints—one is that there is only one large gas furnace for heating. It’s perfectly adequate to heat the entire house, but the heat was not evenly distributed and it was hard to maintain the right temperature throughout the place. Some electric baseboard radiators in the bedroom might be preferable; however, I doubt that this place gets enough winter activity to make the construction worthwhile. Another issue that could be more easily corrected is that the blinds in the bedroom don’t block the morning light at all. I had to hang a blanket from the window frame to be able to sleep without excessive morning light. The beds were quite comfortable, though.
Overall, the minor issues are not significant enough to remove a star; for our purposes (a well-priced, pet-friendly vacation rental away from the city), it was perfect.

Thank you for staying in our cottage and for taking the time to write a review. I will replace the shades in the bedrooms with blackout shades. One suggestion that I'll add to winter visitors is to leave the ceiling fan on low to distribute the heat. We stayed in Cottage 11(exactly the same as 9) from Jan 1, 2022 to April 15, 2022 and we found having the fan going slowly kept the cottage evenly heated. It was very cozy, even in the sub-zero temps we encountered during a couple of days in January and Feburary.
Our stay was excellent. The cottage had everything from supplies in the kitchen (dish soap, garbage bags, paper towels) to great chairs on the the deck. The cottage was recently updated, extremely clean, and the beds were comfy. The internet worked great for streaming videos and doing work. Having our own washer and dryer was convenient. A small convenient store was down the road that had sandwich meats, vegetables, and other supplies. A full grocery store was about 25 minutes from the property. Plenty of trails to hike in the area and shore line to fish. The owners are super friendly, accommodating, and live in close proximity to the cottage. A gas grill was additional plus for grilling in at night. Lots of places to explore as well. We will definitely be back and we are already spreading the word to our friends.
My wife and I had a great time renting here. It was perfect for what we were looking for. A place to disconnect and just sit back and relax. The view across the lake was amazing and each night we got to sit on the deck and watch the sunset. We would definitely return and have already started looking at next year to see when we might be able to do that.
As my title states this property was very comfortable, very clean and accommodating. The host was very thoughtful and listed places of interest in the area for us. The beds were so comfortable, and the area was quite. We all slept sound. The location was quiet and had great views, the only con to this property is it didn't have great access to the water. Overall it is a wonderful place to relax with family/friends on Lake Champlain. We will be back for another visit.

About the host
Hosted by David Bogue
Dave and Lucy live in Burlington, Vermont, where Dave grew up, and where both graduated from UVM. They have two grown children who live out of state, but enjoy visiting and staying in our cottages with friends.
Why they chose this property
We wanted a cottage with lake frontage. We saw the cottage, recognized its potential to become a lovely and inviting home, and turned it into one! We love the addition of the sunroom on the front of the cottage, and the open feeling we were able to create in the cottage because of it.
What makes this property unique
Dave and Lucy love the openness of the land in Alburgh. It allows you to fully appreciate what the sky has to offer: amazing cloud formations; storms approaching over the lake; breath-taking sunrises and sunsets, moonrises and moonsets; full rainbows and double rainbows; birds such as osprey, gulls, and an occasional bald eagle. We love it all, and it is constantly changing and surprising us!
