Firefly is the perfect place to plan an unforgettable gathering with family and friends. This scenic, secluded location offers two homes on one property each with its own unique charm. In all there is an incredible 366 feet of shoreline, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2 docks on 1.2 acres of beautifully landscaped lake front property.

Take in the million-dollar view of Lake Wylie from the main house on the spacious deck built for relaxing or entertaining. Enter the family area through recently added wall to wall sliders which allow ample sunlight to flow through the main living area. This home combines southern costal charm and lake life living at its finest. With 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths and open floor plan there is room for everyone!

Just a few steps away this completely restored 1950’s cabin is like something out of a "Southern Living” magazine! Only 12 feet from the shoreline the cabin is where nostalgia meets modern convenience. With floor to ceiling windows take in the lake view from the cozy rustic cabin that has today's amenities. The cabin provides 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It’s the perfect place to make memories that will last a lifetime.

You have unlimited use of our kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and you are welcome to bring your own boat if you like. And if you would like to rent a pontoon for the day or a full week, we can arrange for that as well.

*Feel free to use our home to host small gatherings, but please be mindful of noise and activity level.

- 14 PEOPLE MAX
*(with exceptions granted by Host) We are committed to our lovely neighborhood and ask that you treat it as if it were your own (or better yet, your grandmas!)

- NO SMOKING/VAPING OF ANY KIND IN THE HOUSE.
*If evidence of smoking inside is found, a $500 fine for deep cleaning will be assessed. Thank you for your understanding.

*Yes, we are pet friendly. However, there is an additional fee of *$100.00, per pet, for guests staying with a pet. Please message us with information regarding your pets age, size and breed.

We had the best stay for a wedding weekend. The patio and grounds were perfect for family gathering and we had an awesome time renting a boat from the dock! Kitchen had everything we needed and there was plenty of seating for meals.

Family Reunion

Firefly was a great venue for our annual family get-together! We had good weather and enjoyed the lake and large porch. The cabin provided extra space and additional sleeping options. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The dining table was large enough to seat the entire family! We highly recommend this property!

It was great!! My now husband and I got married on Saturday and part of our bridal party stayed with us. The hot water wasn’t working initially but the host was VERY quick to respond and get a maintenance guy out there to fix it almost immediately. Very appreciative of that. The pictures honestly didn’t do it justice!! We were blown away how nice it was!!

Family Gathering at FireFly.

We had a wonderful stay at FireFly. Plenty of room in the yard to play. They had a play set for the kids. The home has all you need to make meals. The views are beautiful. Caleb the manager was very helpful Thank you for sharing your home.

THE VIEWS!

Property exactly as described! The Views out the "wall of windows" & any part of the decks you were on - breathtaking! Early a.m. sunrises over the lake; boat rides around the cove for beautiful sunsets; lunch @ Papa Docs on the Lake - perfect! RELAXING time for our Annual Family Thanksgiving & making memories!

Girls reunion

Perfect spot for 6 high school friends to reunite for a girls weekend. Even a rainy day was lovely in the cabin. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. Thank you for a lovely long weekend on the lake! We toured Muddy River Distillery, had lunch at String Bean in downtown Belmont, and a day visit to Stowe Botanical Gardens gave us plenty of things to do before evenings by the fireplace with wine and conversations.

Just what we needed

I was so glad to find this listing AND discover the accuracy of it in person. What a beautiful property! Our small nonprofit board met for a strategic planning retreat. There were so many seating areas available for this use and we broke up our day by sitting in different locations for each session. I personally love the long picnic bench on the patio near the grill for this purpose. It was simply lovely. Also, the property owner and property manager were very responsive to questions. I would definitely recommend and return to this VRBO.

Fabulous Family Place to Stay

I’m so happy we decided to stay at this property. It was the perfect fit for our family reunion as family from FL, AL, NC, WV and DC all converged on Lake Wylie in Belmont to spend quality time together. The house and cabin gave us plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of one another. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed since we cooked in two nights. We loved having the option of a gas or charcoal grill as well. The third night we had a great meal in downtown Belmont, which has many great dining options. There is also plenty of outdoor living areas to enjoy, and the kids’ play set was an added bonus. We highlyrecommend this property and stay here again.

Perfection

Goodness what a wonderful property. The property is perfect for a large family get together. The views are excellent and both homes were very pretty. We would definitely stay here again. Renting a boat with a tube is a must do!

Wedding Weekend

Our daughter got married at Camelot Meadows which is just across the lake from this property. Most of our family is from out of town and this was the perfect location for us to stay together for a weekend of celebrating with super easy access to the venue and other event sites in Belmont. It’s convenient to stores and restaurants and activities with a quiet lake view and property setting. It has plenty of space, clean and well appointed. Having sheets, towels, bath & kitchen amenities all provided really made it so easy for a hectic weekend. Lots of room for yard games and lake fun. Highly recommend.

Great Family Fun

Stayed w/ 4 couples and 5 kids <4yrs of age. Firefly guest house offered ample space to spread out and a well stocked kitchen to support. Bubbas cabin provided separated space, which proved advantageous for late evenings without disruption of the little ones. Boat rental was convenient and Lake Wylie, to our surprise, turned out to be quiet over a Labor Day weekend. Recommend!

Great Lake House for families!

We had a family reunion in the area and used the house as our main gathering place. It turned out great! Between the two houses, the decks, the yard (with a playset), the shuffleboard table, and of course the lake, it kept everybody busy and happy. We rented a pontoon boat with floats through Adam as well and that definitely was a highlight for the kids. Overall it was a great property and the pictures and description are on point. And a beautiful view of the lake with all the windows and decks (of course, that also means lots of light in the morning if you're in the front bedroom lol). Just a small note that while there isn't a ton of restaurants / grocery stores right nearby, they're not more than 15 minutes away and we easily found places that deliver.

Enjoyable Stay

The property was very enjoyable. We had 6 adults and rented both the main and guest house. Great living spaces for everyone to congregate and having the guest house was nice for our large group. You can't beat the location on the water - very relaxing and peaceful. The kitchen was also very well-equipped so it made cooking for our group easy. One thing to note is that many of the bedrooms are next to the living areas so might not be ideal for light sleepers.

Perfect lake getaway

We stayed at Firefly for a long.weekend and the family had a blast. We had 5 teenagers and 3 adults and there was room for everyone. The outdoor space is lovely for entertaining and we had our extended family over one day for an outdoor birthday gathering. The sunrise off the back porch is worth waking up and sunsets from the boat on the lake just breathtaking. The water was still warm enough for swimming and tubing as well! Adam welcomed us and was a wonderful host.

Family wedding

We came to North Carolina for a family wedding, wanted a place that all of us could be comfortable and relax, had 3 generations staying here together. The Firefly and Bubba’s cabin was absolutely fantastic to stay at. Very well stocked, instructions for both places were spot on and everything was labeled. Have rented places before that you just had to quess where stuff was or what light switches work for what light, not here which was nice. Thank you for a beautiful and relaxing time

Great family vacation

We had a wonderful time! Both houses were beautiful and had amazing amenities. We loved playing on the paddle boards and kayaks and loved the fact that you could swim right off the dock. Would 100% stay here again!

Great Birthday Celebration

Overall, it's a great property with perfect access to everything. Had a great time boating from one end to the other and just hanging out on the dock with stand up boards and kayaks. Very nice home that is plenty big along with a great cabin for that feeling of getting away from everything. It made the special birthday celebration special.

Thanksgiving Trip

My family and I had an amazing time here!! The property is absolutely gorgeous with lots of room for the kids to play; both outdoors and indoors. Stunning views no matter where you are. The hosts were wonderful and incredibly accommodating. We hope to be back soon!

Wedding Weekend

We got married in Gastonia and booked this property for our out of town wedding party to stay. We were able to stay in the smaller cabin on the property after our wedding. It was the perfect spot for significant others to hang out while the bridal party got ready. The wedding party also hung out the day after the wedding. This property is right on the water with a beautiful view. The kitchen and the toys we’re stocked and everyone had a great time

A great family retreat

A beautiful place on the lake. A lot of room for kids to play as well as quiet spots for adults to enjoy a book or a glass of wine or both. We would definitely enjoy a second visit.
