Clean, bright, roomy -- everything we hoped for

We were very happy with the entire experience. David is a great communicator and helped us to feel welcome. He is clear about his expectations, which I appreciate, and provided all the amenities and resources we could want. Also, the bed in the master bedroom is super comfy!! It was a great stay, and we'd definitely come back.

Good destination for getting away

Two level townhouse with lovely view of the water, either from a deck off the living room, or from the king size bed in the master bedroom. I was looking for a place I could walk out of and into my kayak, and this was perfect.

Terrible

1. The tv was not working in the living room and the bedroom was not connect to cable and do not work. 2. Sheets were paper thin. 3. No washcloths.4. Refrigerator and freezer was packed with the owners food.5.place was uncomfortable because of all the clutter. 6. Rented to 4 adults but only had 2 chairs and one wabbly stool in the kitchen. I feel we should have a cash refund for all the inconvenience. I would NEVER rent there again.

I was very sorry that this guest was unhappy with my place. The TV was working, so I am not sure what happened. I have corrected the seating at the table, to better accommodate four; and I have added seating for four on the patio as well. Most guests don't mind some things in the fridge and freezer, but I have implemented a new policy to leave very little in the fridge and freezer. I always leave beverages for my guests on one shelf of the fridge.

Easy access near Bay Bridge

We stayed here to be near our sister who lives in the same neighborhood. It was great to be so close and accessible to the nearby Kent island and other restaurants

Pretty Sunsets

1. I was required to pay for insurance coverage before renting the house. 2. My welcome letter said that you are not permitted to wear shoes in the house. 3. The house must be on a slab as the first floor rooms with only socks on, were incredibly cold. Offensively so. 4. The windowless master bath had a light bar that was designed to hold four bulbs. Two bulbs were present. One worked. It's good I spent 30 years in the Army and learned to shave in the dark. 5. Sunsets were beautiful! A beverage with ice would be nice. But the ice maker only makes sheets of 1/2 inch ice. A used the emergency hammer from my car to break the sheet int sheet style chunks. It works. Bring a hammer. 6. Enjoying the sunset on the porch would be cool with any sort of a table to put your beverage and snack on. Fortunately the host keeps a crab trap there. It worked well. 7. There is a beautiful new TV in the living room! I know that because it was still wrapped in plastic! But since there was no place to raise your feet after working all day, we opted to watch from a local hotel where the TV was visible, they had ice, I could wear my shoes and they had a foot stool to place my feet!

Thank you for the valuable feedback. This is very helpful. Let me address a few of these comments. 1. VRBO provides the option of the insurance, and it seems a good value to me as both a guest and an owner. I myself always opt for it. 60 dollars for a million in insurance coverage seems a good deal. 2. No shoes in the house is a common rule for homes these days, and this was clear in the orientation to the house on the website. I will make a suggestion that those with sensitive feet bring slippers. 3. I was surprised to hear this was so uncomfortable, and I apologize. I have not had this complaint ever before. I will add a suggestion to bring slippers, but I think there is generally no need - particularly in the summer. 4. I unscrew the light bulbs to lower my carbon footprint, but I will ensure all are screwed completely in for all future guests. I have a philosophy of using the minimum amount of fossil fuels as I can. Also, there are spare light bulbs under the sinks in each bathroom, as described in the pamhlet orienting guests to the house. 5. The ice maker does not work in the refridgerator. It has never been connected, since the condo was built in 1986. I will buy ice trays. 6. I have purchased a table for the deck. Great idea! 7. Did the plastic somehow obstruct from the viewing pleasure? I believe it preserves the TV and for me the image is not compromised. I have added an ottoman to the room. Great idea! Thank you for thinking of this! I was surprised that these expereinces led to a one star rating. I find this rating difficult to comprehend, based on the items listed. Nonetheless, I have taken these suggestions to heart and made adjustments for the comfort of future guests. Thank you and best wishes.
