Located at 811 Mississippi Avenue Northshore, This 800 square foot apartment with 9-ft ceilings and hardwood floors is located 1.2 mi from Erlanger hospital and 2.6, mi from chi Memorial and Parkrigde hospitals. It's also a mile and a half from the center of downtown Chattanooga. The house was  built in 1909 and converted into an apartment building in the 1950s. The units have been updated over the years. 
Three apartments use the Mississippi Avenue entrance. Inside the building there is a small foyer area with a staircase to the right. The entry door is at the top of the stairs. It has a deadbolt/ keypad lock. For a one-bedroom apartment, it is quite spacious. The kitchen is the two top right front windows. The living room is the two windows top left. The bedroom is behind the living room. window treatments are on every window. The windows in the front of the house have shades and curtains. the windows in the back of the house have curtains. The curtains in the kitchen, living room and bedroom are black out. The grounds surrounding the building are covered in beautiful gardens. These gardens are maintained by the property owner and manager, Adrienne Powell. This apartment features a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. The bedroom has a super comfortable queen size bed and the kitchen is fully stocked (stainless pots, dishes, assortment of glasses, coffee, tea, coffee maker, toaster, microwave,stainless flatware stove, dishwasher, refrigerator). The apartment is Extremely clean! Linens and towels provided are 100% cotton. This is a quiet private one-bedroom apartment with its own keypad entry door. The apartment also features a walk-in closet in the bedroom, a dining area in the living room, and a desk. There are two air conditioning units, one in the bedroom and living room. These rooms also both have ceiling fans.
TV is in the living room and has an antenna with access to several major networks. There is a Roku with Amazon Prime Video. Wireless Internet is provided.

The apartment has a two-person maximum occupancy. This is 24/7. I have this policy in place so that the house maintains a quiet atmosphere.
You must be able to climb stairs to reach this apartment.
This is a wonderful apartment. Perfect for people that are visiting family or someone that wants a quiet location while coming to Chattanooga to work.

Why they chose this property
My own home was built in the 1920's. This neighborhood is known for its charming bungalows and four square homes.  It is a community of FRONT PORCHES AND FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS!  Location Location Location as they say.  Being SO close to downtown is fabulous.  If you are not afraid of a couple of hills you can walk to near by parks, Frazier Avenue shopping, Walnut Street Bridge and much more. The aquarium is a 2 mile walk or drive.
What makes this property unique
The house sits on a large elevated corner lot with a fabulous front porch, perfect for watching sunsets. It has big beautiful windows in the front so you can watch the sunset from your living room too!  The grounds are beautifully landscaped.
