About this property
8 Bedrooms, Sleep 17- Private Home / Private Apts + Pool Opens 8/1/22
Lake Street Commons is a multi home rental with 3 apartments that can be combined to become a single rental with large spaces both inside and out. The home is only a short 4 minute walk ( 2 minutes by bicycle ) to Saugatuck's downtown on Lake Street. Centrally located, everything is accessible from Lake Street including the SCA - Saugatuck Center for the Arts with downtown Douglas only a 10 minute walk across the bridge. Bring your camera because the early morning and evening shimmers on the waters of Lake Kalamazoo and Lake Michigan sunsets are breathtaking.
Tantalizing restaurants and intriguing shops as well as all the waterfront activities are all waiting without the search for parking.
The home was built circa 1880 during the time of the Western Michigan lumber barons and has gone through a myriad of reconstruction and restoration efforts over the many decades. We continue to lovingly work on the home and landscaping especially the koi ponds and small woods in the rear of the property.
Beginning mid-July of 2022, we open our heated swimming pool located off of the large patio next to the Jacuzzi, Fire Pit and outside dining area.
Lake Street Commons Lodging offers:
Full kitchens, Kurig coffee makers, coffee and teas, dishwasher (2BR) and lower levelas well as three full baths, private entrances, queen size beds, sleeper sofas, lots of fluffy towels and pillows, high thread-count linens and your privacy.
Private decks with beautiful views of Lake Kalamazoo to the West from our 2 BR suite. Woodsy watch and waterfall sounds to the East from our 1 BR suite.
Our 3BR includes a large relaxing porch facing West.
Sleeps 16, No bunk beds.
BBQ grill, 6 person Jacuzzi hot tub, fire pit for evening campfires.
Beautifully appointed rooms to relax in after a fun day about town.
Central Air, elec. fireplace in each suite, FREE High Speed Wi-Fi, USB Charger, DVD's plus movie library, Netflix., Smart TV's. Hair Dryers, Iron&Board to name a few.
Whole house water filtration system by Pure Earth water filters. No Chlorine or Flouride. A short walk ( I can get to the Uncommon grounds coffee shop in 7 minutes) to downtown Saugatuck in 5 minutes along Lake Street.
Minutes to Oval Beach by bicycle or automobile or for the athletic, a 4 minute walk through downtown to the Chain Ferry then 1/4 mile up the hill to the beach on paved road through the woods or take a beautiful hike through the woods that ends at Oval Beach. There are four beaches in the area. Hailed as one of the countries top beaches. Natural and pristine vistas of the sand dunes both North and South and Nature Trails.
Our Guests...
