Casa Bogart-Dog Friendly, 3 Bedroom, Sits 1 Block Above heart of Winthrop!
Casa Bogart is a dog friendly(2 dog limit, legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) is located just one block up “Pool Hall Hill” from the center of Town. Casa Bogart, originally built in the early 1900’s, was the 40-year home of former Winthrop Mayor Warren Badger and family and has recently been restored to its early 1900’s era charm. Visitors can enjoy sitting on the veranda, overlooking Winthrop and the surrounding hills and mountains. The fenced yard and garden is peace filled and gorgeous.
The house has three bedrooms, two full baths, and a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with flat screen smart TV and Blu-ray DVD player. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has a king bed. There is a sofa bed in a side room off one of the bedrooms. There is a 2-car carport with an EV 50 amp charging station and, of course, access to the decks and yard.
Though not licensed as 'disabled accessible', the house is all on one floor and is easy to maneuver in a chair. There is a low slope ramp on the SE side of the house from the carport to the low (~ 14”) SE deck. The entry door on this side of the house is 36” and once inside the house the NW Queen Suite is accessed through a 36” wide door as is the suite’s bathroom. During the winter the access to the ramp from the carport needs to be cleared of snow and ice. This is not done routinely, especially during times of heavy snowfall. During the winter we would request that anyone entering in a chair have a competent able-bodied person to assist them as needed. At this time the house does not have a roll-in or low-curb shower, only two tubs. IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.

This house is absolutely adorable, and in the heart of downtown Winthrop… Had a friends getaway, the three bedrooms were perfect for us and our two dogs… The fenced in backyard with wrap around covered deck was amazing, and I loved the neighborhood!

So pleased you enjoyed your stay at our place and in the Methow Valley
We stayed here for a friend’s wedding and had an awesome time. The house was super cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. It was perfect for our group—me, my fiancé, and another couple. Loved being able to walk into town and relax on the porch. Would definitely stay again!
Great property in a wonderful location! Having a fenced yard was very convenient for our dogs. Plenty of seating in the house and on the covered wraparound porch, and the kitchen was well stocked. Would book again!
Great house and location. Everything clean and the host was very helpful. We were a slightly needier group as we were traveling as a work trip and they were very accommodating. Would recommend!
I have stayed at so many different vrbos and this place is #1. Great location, well cared for home, clean. Everyone was super happy and we would recommend and would stay here again. Excellent beds, good a/c, nice amount of laundry and dish soap, etc. Just a lovely house.

Perfect weekend away. The house is even cuter in person and so centrally located. Everything you could need for a really nice stay. Comfy for 7 people and the apples in the yard are tasty too.

Thanks so much for your kind feedback and so glad you had an enjoyable stay!
CasaBogart was an amazing place to stay in Winthrop.
The home was very clean and nicely laid out. Reasonably priced for what is available on our stay. Clear instructions on how everything worked, including wi-fi password, key code and amenities available. Pet friendly and our furbaby Louie was very happy and quite comfortable. Nice size fenced yard. We will definitely stay here again!

So glad you had an enjoyable stay:) Happy to host you again!
This is a lovely older home that has been remodeled. The bedrooms are super spacious, beds are very comfortable and is decorated in a retro style. Great for two families. Porch and outside areas are amazing. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again! Thank you so much for this lovely home.

So glad you had a nice time! Come back again:)
Thanks!
The location was absolutely ideal, just 1 block from the main part of town. The layout of the house was perfect for two families as each family had a “wing” with bedrooms and bathroom. The house was nicely updated while retaining its historic charm.

So glad the house was a great fit for both families!
The online photos don't adequately capture the charm of this property! We had three different families with us on this vacation and everyone said that they LOVED this property.

So glad you had a nice time! Come back and visit again:)
Wonderful location so close to downtown yet still apart and with great privacy in the yard and views. Appreciated being in between Mazama and Twisp. Just a perfect location for exploring. House had everything we needed and appreciated the multiple options for dining and seating (kitchen table, dining room and outdoor picnic table!). Look forward to coming back again.

So glad you had a nice time! We would love to have you come back:)
Really loved the comfortable feel of this property. It was very convenient to main street with its many shops, bars and restaurants but felt very private and was quiet. The home had all essentials right down to the fully fenced yard. Lounging on the covered deck and enjoying the flowers was a favorite. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed out stay at this property. The home is decorated fun and tastefully. Plenty of seats outside for our group. My favorite part was the location of the kitchen in relation to all the bedrooms. This allowed those of us up early to get coffee and work in the kitchen and not be bothering those who were sleeping longer. The location of the property to our events was wonderful and convenient. This is an all-around AA property. We are all in agreement to reserve for next year.

Tranquil Oasis
This quirky, interesting house is surprisingly private and serene.
It has been, and is being, upgraded continuously.
The wraparound deck looks onto the lawn and garden, and is a perfect place for relaxing.
Your best choice for a small group wanting a few days stay in Winthrop!

So glad you had a nice time..come back and visit again sometime!
Great wrap around porch and North Cascades east side hiking base!
Immaculately kept, inviting and could easily handle more than one couple. The red appliances are a nice touch. The best part about Casa Bogart is the wrap around porch and backyard, from morning coffee to evening happy hour. Good home base for east side of North Cascades hiking. Highly recommend!
We had a good visit to Winthrop. The property is, as advertised, very close to the Main Street in Winthrop. It appears to be an older home that has been retrofitted, but it was comfortable and would be good for a group. The town of Winthrop is pretty limited as far as restaurants go. There is a bistro, but it’s small and the days/hours it’s open are quite limited. There is a brew pub which was pleasant, serving the standard pub fare.
Excellent property! Kitchen was very well equipped and the layout was excellent for multiple families. You can't beat the location and proximity to town. There is a BBQ even though the property description does not list it.
Loved the house. Not only was it very clean but it was extremely well equipped with quality items. Bedding and towels were great quality. Appliances were fun. Darling cottage style home that was a pleasure to stay in...and so close to town. Would highly recommend to everyone.
Loved all the special decor and nice touches. Each bed had a quilt and even a few hanging. Room for all to spread out, relax indoors or walk 1 block and you are in the middle of town!
*Property should list it has a BBQ. 6 adults were provided 4 bath towels, so we had to do laundry.
