This dog friendly(limit 2)three-bedroom home was recently renovated with an eye towards Scandinavian design. The basic black/white theme throughout the house being tempered by some wonderfully colorful collectables. The living/dining/kitchen area is open floor-plan, with a 3/4 bath adjacent. Just off the living room is a television area, and down the hall are three spacious bedrooms and another, more private, second 3/4 bath. There is a queen bedroom, king bedroom and a third with a twin/full bunkbed. The living/dining/kitchen area is open floor-plan, with a 3/4 bath adjacent. Just off the living room is a television area, and down the hall are three spacious bedrooms and another, more private, second 3/4 bath. Two bedrooms have queen beds and a third, a king bed.The house is located very conveniently in Winthrop, with enough off-street parking for at least 3 vehicles. There is also an ample fenced yard with enough room for kids and dogs, or even a stirring croquet match. It's a 100-yard walk to downtown shopping, or an afternoon beverage...or ena an evening beverage....ya never know.
Internet is available and there is a smart TV. The kitchen has cooking capacity for 6 guests, as well as enough seating to accommodate the family. The house has electric heat and A/C during the hot summer months. There is also a new propane stove in the living room to cozy up to. Just out the kitchen door is an outdoor area for summer BBQ's and picnicking. **************************************************
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION: 1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. Directions over all the routes will be sent to. you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check pass reports(and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave.
2)Trail Access/Closure Information: If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur anytime because of fire, rockslides, mud flows...and we have no control over this. There are many hiking, biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. INTERNET POLICY..PLEASE NOTE: **We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.
Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!
IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.

We stayed here for 5 nights with our family. The house is in a great location close to town. It was well stocked and had great space. Will stay here again!
We had a great two night stay with our family. The home was very cozy and clean and was just as described from the online description. The location was perfect, just a couple minute walk to downtown Winthrop. Would definitely stay there again!

The house has a warm and welcoming vibe. Clean and well decorated with all basic amenities provided. Closer to walk into town than we expected. Would stay here again!
Check in was super easy. The place was spacious enough for the 5 of us. The kitchen is well stocked and the two parking spots worked out for our group. We'll be looking to book this again when we come back to Winthrop.

My family and I stayed in your rental for my son's high school graduation and it was the perfect retreat! Cozy beds and couches, beautiful decor, clean, great kitchen, perfect location! We are already planning when we can come back again! We have stayed in several rentals and this was our favorite!
This house was perfectly appointed for myself and friends (6 total) with 2 bathrooms, bedrooms in the back, large living area for lounging and plenty of space for all of us. A large dining room table and a well equipped kitchen w

Thank you for your nice review. We'd be happy to host you again.
We had the best stay at the Starry Night Retreat. Beautifully decorated and perfect for our family of 5 and sweet pup. Great backyard, all fenced for the dog and my kids were obsessed with the tree swings. Loved the short walk into town or down the street to the museum. Easy drive to the state park at the lake. Highly recommend this home and we will be back.

So happy to hear this! We'd love for you to stay again:)
I have never been in a rental so well appointed with luxury bedding and towels, nor so thoughtfully supplied with kitchen and laundry amenities. Very warm and cozy in zero degree weather.

Glad you had a nice time..come back and visit us again:)
Right around the corner from downtown, our family of parents and 3 kids (10-18) found this a comfy and well-appointed house. Roomy bedrooms and living spaces, the kitchen was pleasantly outfitted with oils, spices, vinegar, tea, coffee. AC available in all rooms, and the backyard was great with cherry trees and garden and tire swing. Highly recommended for anyone having it in beautiful Winthrop and the North Cascades.
Very comfortable place with nice amenities. Plenty of living space so we could all spread out & not feel cramped. Perfect location for walking into town. A/C worked great on some very hot days. Internet is not reliable but that’s not the fault of the proprietors — it’s just a rural area. They directed us to the brand-new town library where our teen could get his daily high-speed online fix. Thanks for a fun, relaxing stay. 🙂
We rented this property to serve as a base for a wedding weekend occurring nearby. Our group, two couples, found the location perfect for this, as we were within easy walkin distance of the downtown, but away from the highway so it was nice and quiet. The house is nicely decorated, plenty big, well appointed, and clean. The rooms had AC units and everything worked great. The backyard was a nice hangout spot as well. Parking was available on property for our vehicle and I really had no complaints. The check in and out process was easy.
Less than 2 minutes walk to the cute little town of Winthrop and 5 min walk to a suspension bridge and a great walking trail. The house is really cozy and has very nice decor and is well equipped.. Bonus the king bed is Very comfy! We will be staying again for sure!
