Welcome to Grandview!
Grandview is a perfect blend of old Cape May charm with modern amenities with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. There is a private sun deck to start your day for morning coffee/tea. Spend the day at the beach and come back for lunch/snacks or beach breaks. Then walk around Historic Cape May for dining and entertainment or relax again on the balcony and enjoy the sights and sounds of Cape May. There are 3 units in the house. GRANDVIEW is on the 2nd and 3rd floor.

As soon as you walk in the main living space of Grandview, you will feel you are on your beach vacation, the home is open and airy with ocean views from the kitchen, dining and family rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and new cabinets. The dining room seats 10 comfortably and kitchen island seats 3. You will also have your own private outdoor space. The "doors" to this outdoor space is definitely a unique feature of the house and in itself gives you a feel of historic Cape May.

The bedroom floor (third floor) does not disappoint. Two master bedrooms have an open and airy feel as well, and with ocean views. Third (queen bed) and fourth bedrooms (twin bunk beds with trundle) are spacious and share a shower/tub bathroom.

1) Guest is responsible for linens and towels
2) NO parties (NO bachelorette / bachelor parties)
3) NO smoking (of any kind)
4) Check-out day protocols (take food back home - including food in refrigerator/freezer, no dishes in sink - at least run in dishwasher, empty kitchen trash bags in outdoor bin, etc).

Great off-season rental as you don't feel you are just renting a home, you will feel you are renting a beach home in historic Cape May as main living space gives you both the airy coastal feel and ocean views. Only 2 blocks to Cape May Convention Center and 1/2 mile - 5 blocks (10 minute walk) to Washington street mall for Fall, Winter and Spring weekend stays! Great for girls weekend too (No bachelorette parties!).

Blankets, bedspreads and pillows are provided. Sheets and towels can be rented from LinenLadies (609-884-3246 or www.linenladies.com). The is NO grill on the premises.

Enjoy your stay any time of the year without the stress of driving to the beach or town. There are 2 available off-street parking in the premises.

Additional historical l Information:
Grandview is in the 2nd and 3rd floors of an 1860 historic home. It was previously a part of the Victorian Lace B&B prior to conversion to Sand Dollar condominiums. The home was renovated down to studs in 2018 but still has quirks of a historic home. The front door is circa 1860. There are 3 units in the main house. All 3 share spacious foyer prior to entrances to each one. Grandview is Unit 3.

Overall the house was beautiful and very spacious. Beautiful views. Loved the deck. It could have been cleaner. The windows were filthy and there was some popcorn on the floor which tells me it wasn’t vacuumed before we got there. Despite the minor cleaning issues we would definitely stay there again.

Great Place Perfect Location

This is a perfect place to stay in Cape May. It is very large located on the second and third floors with a beautiful outside deck. The location makes it an easy walk to great restaurants, Washington Street walk mall, one block to the ocean and a few blocks to Congress Hall. Yet it is in a quiet neighborhood. We were 5 adults and would definitely go back. It has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. Some places we went to were the Revolution rail Co and did the rail bikes which was fun. Willow Creek Winery, Sunset Beach and a comedy club. Great Breakfast at Mad Batter, McGlades on the Pier and the Blue Pig Tavern at Congress Hall. Also great diners at Tisha's and Sapores but book both of them in advance.

Labor Day splurge

We have never been away over Labor Day nor have we stayed in Cape May. We were very excited to find this house was open and are very happy it was! The house was was very spacious and the location was perfect! We were able to park the car for the week and walk everywhere. Both the beach and town were a short walk from the house. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was even a basket of snacks that was an added treat. We loved seeing and hearing the ocean from the deck and overall enjoyed the charm of staying in an older home. We would love to be able to spend our two week summer vacation in this charming home in Historic Cape May one day!

We had a fabulous week at the Grandview! The house is very comfortable and perfect for a large group. We took our adult children for the week and everyone was extremely happy. The house is beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable. There is everything you could possibly need to have a wonderful vacation! The big wrap around second floor porch was the best part! Beautiful home in great location!

Celebrated my son’s Coast Guard graduation with lots of family, and this property was not only as beautiful as the pictures convey, but the location was awesome (10 minutes from the USCG Training Center, a block from the beach, AND within walking distance to “downtown” Cape May!) The place was very nicely appointed and with every amenity imaginable! Our family loves to cook and eat together and play games. This home was the perfect landing spot for a memorable and comfortable long weekend. Additionally, the owner, Fe was easy to get in touch with and had a quick response to any questions we had. She also was very kind and thoughtful regarding my son’s special day. Thank you Fe- for an awesome get away! We hope to return in the near future!

We live on the west coast of New Jersey. We like going to beaches and lakes. Our kids love the water, or maybe it's just digging in the sand or collecting sea shells or observing sea creatures. Anything that would make them be kids for a longer time, is okay with us. They enjoy Cape May sights, sceneries and activities. Cape May is a great place and we're happy to share our home with you.

Why they chose this property

Our family has vacationed all over New Jersey shore towns. Although, all the towns are lovely, we always found Cape May as our favorite, mainly because it always has that quaint hometown atmosphere. Also Cape May is not deserted outside of the summer months, unlike most beach towns. There are plenty of activities and events, beautiful beaches and fantastic dining. Cape May is alive during Fall and Spring with all the activities and events. You'll be surprised, Cape May is fun during winter too.

What makes this property unique

Great location!!! Our home is convenient to walk back from the beach for lunch and breaks (especially helpful with kids). Dining and entertainment starts 2 blocks away.
We saw the home without walls and yet we felt it was a special place. When our family are at Grandview, we feel we are on a beach vacation. There is so much natural light, airy and spacious, and the location gives us the ocean views in so many rooms (this helps when weather is not cooperating). Although renovated with modern amenities, the home still has the Cape May historic feel that we were looking for. The house still has sash "window" doors that is used to access the private balcony/sun deck. Our children think these doors are "cool" - we do think they are too.
