This is beautiful home with all the amenities you could ask for. The pool, hot tub, and landscaped yard are a paradise. Karen was a great hostess. This location offered an easy drive to local restaurants and stores. Because it is in a neighborhood Door Dashing food was available for nights we wanted to stay in. We had a fantastic time.

Wonderful location!

This was a wonderful home and an excellent host. We had a surprise 80th birthday for my dad and it was a wonderful experience! Will be looking for more opportunities to stay at this location! Would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway with family and/or friends!

Absolutely amazing property and owner

If I could give this place and Karen 100 stars I would. Not only was she super responsive for any questions or help I needed, she went above and beyond by bringing in our groceries when our flight was late. And the pictures don't lie, the outdoor space is amazing. House was clean and had absolutely everything we needed. We hope to stay here again some day.

Couples weekend

Family reunion

This house was perfect for our family reunion. Two families with six kids stayed here and two more families with three kids stayed at one family’s home nearby. The pool was obviously the big hit, but all enjoyed the many other toys and games and marshmallows at the fire pit. Karen, the owner, was accessible for any questions or issues. The kitchen has everything you need and more. Definitely recommend this house for family gatherings. Close to Malibu beaches, Reagan library, Underwood Farms, Santa Barbara, and many other sights to see the next get together here.

Daughter’s Wedding Trip

THE HOUSE IS BEAUTIFUL! My family and I were in town for my daughter‘s wedding. We chose this beautiful home to house my family and her bridesmaids. We had a wonderful stay! And our host was so easy to work with, to chat with, and she was so available for us. We did not run into any problems at all. The location of the house was perfect. It was close enough to the venue as well as many restaurants, stores, and even grocery stores. I will most definitely stay here again if I come back into the area.

Home was beautiful, Karen even had lights up for the holidays! The property has all the amenities you could ask for, inside and out. The backyard is beautiful!!! We had a wonderful time and will hope to book another date here soon. Thank you Karen for making us feel so welcome!

we had a fabulous time during our stay in this location in Westlake. Home is beautiful and clean, and fully equipped with anything you need for your stay. It is located in a very private, quiet, and beautiful neighborhood. The amenities are incredible. My family had a great time in the pool and enjoyed the spacious backyard. The host is amazing. She is available any time, and communicated with us and checked in with us. I would recommend this location and would love to stay again.

Perfect House for Daughter's Simi Valley Wedding

This house was perfect in every way. The location was perfect, the outside area is spectacular and the house itself was comfortable with plenty of room and amenities. We have stayed in multiple VRBO homes and we always look for a Premiere Host. All are very good but no one has ever been as responsive, helpful and engaging as Karen. Would highly recommend this home!

Thank you, warmly, to Karen for opening your home to my family this past week. Secluded Oasis supported the bridal party on the morning of my niece’s wedding, and was a lovely vacation for family members visiting from out of state. The cheerful decor and open floor plan was perfect for our family. We were in the pool and spa almost daily that was the perfect temperature and also very clean. The home and land were spacious, giving us ample room to relax and chat while preparing meals. Tall trees gave us reprieve from the eager sun as we sat and enjoyed our barbecue meal. We even saw deer in the backyard. Excellent location in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The house was a short drive from stores, and we even had the opportunity to shop at the local Farmer’s Market on Thursday. We loved spending time with family in this wonderful home. Thank you again for being such a gracious host Karen.

Reunion

We are seven women who went through school together begging in kindergarten and culminating with our high school graduation. We all celebrated our eightieth birthdays this year and gathered to celebrate and catchup on each others lives. We found the house exceeded our expectations in all ways. Wonderful Family Vacation

Karen is the ultimate host! This property exceeded our expectations! Karen's attention to detail and care in making this house feel like home did not go unnoticed! Beyond our Imagination

Absolutely lovely house and beautiful property. We had a wonderful time. We were able to host a small rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding; and the backyard was absolutely perfect for it. There was something for everyone to do in the spacious grounds. The host was very accommodating and was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Fabulous family holiday in 1000 Oaks

My family and I have just finished an incredible trip around California. We ended with a four day stay in this wonderful villa in 1000 Oaks, our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. The house is immaculate and very luxurious. Karen is a fantastic host, she was always quick to reply to any questions we had and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The garden was a big hit with the whole family, the pool is huge and the kids loved all the pool toys that Karen very kindly provided. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the evening looking out over the beautiful California hills that surround the garden. The house itself is very spacious, beautifully decorated, very clean and with lots of little touches that made it feel like a home from home. The house is perfectly placed to explore LA and is a relaxing haven to return to after a busy day sightseeing. I really can’t fault this property and would recommend it in a heartbeat. If we return to California we will definitely stay here again.

Most AMAZING Wedding Week Stay

From the minute I booked Karen's beautiful home it's been the best VRBO experience our family has ever had. Karen is a true hostess. From making sure we had everything we needed in the home for our 2 year old grandson to recommending a florist for our rehearsal dinner to recommending restaurants and hikes in the area, she was a pro. We couldn't have asked for a better concierge. Her home though was perfect. Everything was spotless and in perfect order. From the binder she provides with all of the instructions for outdoor lighting, spa and pool, to the amenities this home offers, it was the perfect family home with so much to offer. I can only attest to the master bed but it was SOOO comfortable. I heard all of the beds were. The pool, spa, fire pit, outdoor seating, outdoor bar, ping pong, corn hole and every board game imaginable this property is perfection for a family reunion. Ours was for our sons wedding week and AMAZING. I almost hate giving it such rave reviews as it will probably be booked solid and we'll never get a chance to use it again. You can't go wrong with this home. Your family and guests will LOVE IT! Thank you Karen.

Outstanding Stay, Host with an Outdoor Oasis!

Just Awesome! My husband and I traveled to the area with our parents for a long weekend to cheer on our daughter and her soccer team. Karen's house was the perfect spot for us. Kitchen was well stocked with all needed utensils. Each couple had their own bathroom, and living and dining areas were roomy and spacious. We had multiple family members who live in the area, who joined us for dinner and the indoor table space easily accommodated>10 for a celebration dinner after my daughter's team won. The outdoor space was and is amazing!The backyard backs up to open space and the space is calming and gorgeous. We used the multiple outdoor seating areas throughout the day, including the fire pit and the elevated porch area. The ping pong table, cornhole and yard axe throwing games were a great complement to the space. While the wind did not comply with us using the pool, it was clean and sparkling. Karen was an awesome host. She was prompt to answer questions and sent check-in and house information prior to arrival. She left us a welcome bottle of wine and even left directions to our soccer site. The extra thought Karen put into our stay was just above expectations. If we ever back out to the area with a group, will definitely look to rebook!

You can live the California Lifestyle in our home. The 101 freeway is located 2 miles from our home. Los Angeles & Santa Barbara (40 min), Ojai (45 min), Santa Ynez Wine Country (90 min). Beautiful Malibu Beach just 12 miles away is located on Pacific Coast Highway making Santa Monica & The Getty Museum very accessible. Day trips to Disneyland, California Adventures, Knott's Berry Farm, Newport & Laguna Beach are always memorable as is a trip to Catalina Island. Property backs up to some of the best mountain biking trails in SoCal. Enjoy the raw feel of wildlife and the great outdoors on the quiet and private backyard hillside deck. As you meander down our Canyon roads, be sure to ask about one of the area wineries, conveniently located between Westlake Village and Malibu! Other nearby attractions: Universal Studios (62 miles), Hollywood (30 miles), Beverly Hills (35 miles), Downtown (40 miles), and LAX (41 miles). Nearby universities include UCLA, USC, Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount.

What makes this property unique

Guests have 100% access to the entire home. The guesthouse on the property is not accessible and is occupied, however, you have full use of the attached outdoor BBQ and wet bar. (The occupant is a flight attendant and will not be there when there are guests in the main house and does not share the backyard).

Out of respect for the privacy and quiet of our neighborhood, I will no longer allow large events. My home is the perfect set up for the bridal parties to get ready and dressed since my location is near many of the popular nearby wedding locations. The master bath is a very large area that can accommodate hairstylists, makeup artists, etc. Please inquire regarding other events such as family reunions, etc. There are additional fees for events.
